Cholas didn't use this principle without knowing and all bro.. It's the Bernoulli who came after cholas and gave a name to this principle .. Otherwise chola knew this science way before bernoulli.. The only thing is they didn't name this science and had been using that.

We never been thought in schools about Tamil culture and society 🤣Else with some effort we could have got the names too
It's not that they didn't name it in tamil. I believe they would have certainly named it in tamil. But either the engineering principles were not recorded or were recorded and the principals were stolen and records completely destroyed by invaders. I also believe that the invaders killed most of the intellects from our ancestors. This is highly possible because today's tamils are not as brilliantas their ancestors. (which is possible because when the europeans invaded I presume we didn't have a big naval force). Further, once we started studying and using western engineering, the tamil term for bernolli's effect would have swiftly faded out from common use. So the current generation believes that there was no tamil term for bernolli's effect.
Similarly many English words have replaced old tamil words and in future many tamil words currently in use will be lost and replaced by hindi or english words. Words like செம, மச்சி ... etc., were not in use by tamils just 25 years ago. While destroying tamil, tamils are proud that tamil is the oldest language in the world.
