When my dad bought that 1650, I had no idea it was a factory terra tire tractor. He must have known, but didn't tell me, and he passed away 3 months later. Another friend told me it was, that's when I knew I had to restore it.
Those are all GREAT looking tractors that at one time were ALL the backbone of tractor's farming in the USA espically that 88 and the 1850 both of those were top shelf tractors great video
It was a bit of a hectic day trying to get everything done, and it was a scorcher too. But it was all worth it to see the smile on her face as she drove through town on that tractor.
We got lots of thumbs up and waves, compliments, and even a guy that had to walk closer to let us know that his wife said it was the best looking tractor in the parade! I thought Herman got a lot of attention, but the purple 1850 gets more!
Looked like everyone had a great time. Great assortment of Oliver tractors. Was there more parade entries other than the Oliver tractors. Turn out was awesome! 🇺🇸🚜👍
That lineup would have been the high point in the parade for me! The purple 1850 is way cool as is the front assist 1650. And the 2150 is begging to be restored.

I could hear about 1000 young girls looking at their parents, in unison shouting "I want one like that"! And, the smile Abby was wearing was as wide as the Mississippi. Thank you for making this 4th of July special for a lot of people.
I told Abby that I think she inspired a lot of young girls by driving that tractor. You could see the admiration in their eyes as they watched us go by.

Very nice parade. Boy what would I give to put an 1850 in a field with a 5-16 or 6-14 plow and let her roar. It was so much fun in '67 on my uncles '65 1850 with 6-14's
The ride along shot should make you proud, you raised an efficient taxpayer. Abby gets the full use of the road lol Some wander more than others, our old 1650 does the dance as well.
The time lapse really brings out the wander! Someone also decided it would be a good idea to put the horses at the front of the parade, so we were playing dodge 'em the whole way.

Now you have to do one of the 1976 red white and blue Olivers complete with the stars. One cannot say that Oliver was afraid to paint some different schemes on it's tractors. Well, IH did have the white and the pink tractors to attract women.
I'd like to get a Heritage tractor (that's what Oliver called them.) A fellow enthusiast painted his 1855 in that scheme once he found that it could be a dealer installed option. They look sharp and really turn heads!
10 miles? That would take me something like 45 minutes on my JD Model A, and that's with the aftermarket road gear...and it would be much less comfortable than on those nice cushy Olivers...ha
@@ThatOliverGuyChris Here I was all excited to get my old model A back from when I was a kid because I was sure that road gear would do something like 20+ mph. Got it back and running, and the smartphone GPS assures me it is only 14-15 mph. I checked the original hi gear? all of about 6 mph. So the road gear is definitely worth it after all.
Most called it pink, but it was a huge hit, especially with the ladies. One guy asked Abby if it was a girl's tractor. She told him she was pretty sure anyone could run it.

I made a pink t shirt with a picture of the tractor on the back that says " this shirt is pink, the tractor is purple " The announcer for the parade called it pink, so I pointed to the shirt. He got a kick out of it.

Burt Reynolds Jackie Gleason and co-stars did outstanding work in the movie industry ,and to have someone Steal a mane for a channel is below the belt I believe this character is running bad fuel in that 1850 , just.kickit around.Oh you did have a video on fuel containers Thanks for posting on your Quest of Adventure next time
According to the parade rules, candy may be handed out, not thrown. Although I think it is still thrown by many, As to the rest, I'm not following what you mean by "Steal a mane for a channel".

@@ThatOliverGuyChris What I am saying is that I worked in the equipment repair industry when young and in 90 cross over to food service .I worked for Dutch Farms &Aldi's till I retired, yes I know Pure Michigan quite well .I got tired of the dirt and grime repairing equipment ,but in time I found out it was also hard to keep the big eating machine satisfied It was just like a engine and everything has to run to be successful . Companies expected you to do your best and they had a image they wanted to project to the public. Could say like a farmer cultivating his crops to get the highest return . Hope this helps

There were tractors of almost every brand, lots of cars. I think it was a little shorter than most years, but the parade was still over an hour long.

It was hot and humid here! Plus they moved the parade to 1 pm since it was a Sunday. I was ready to buy a canopy!

We had them on strobe. They didn't show up very well since it was a sunny day.

No one ever asked why it was that color, but most called it pink.
Looks like there was a good turn out for the parade, I don't think there was any parades in our area!
Some towns did theirs on Saturday, some on Monday, and some didn't have any.

We are rebuilding a 1961 Oliver 1800a. The crankshaft number is 221211. Would you know if that is the right number.

It looks like the seal blew out on the hydraulic pump. I haven't torn it down yet, but I have all the parts now, including a new pump.
