This is a very belated kudos comment. I recently acquired a Garmin Zumo gps for motorcycling purposes, appropriate supplementary maps for off-road routes on an sd card and, necessarily, downloaded Basecamp. What a totally befuddling and unintuitive piece of software, and their video tutorials are useless. So, I went searching on TH-cam and I must have looked at five or six commentators before I found you. They all no-doubt knew whereof they spoke, but as instructors, they were not very good. You, on the other hand, are a brilliant instructor. I could actually follow along as you guided me through each process; just little touches such as putting a yellow circle to high-light the cursor as you move it about...others would be "I go here, I go there" and I am going "what, wait, where are you"; lots of little details like that set your videos apart. Methinks perhaps a teacher in "real life"?? Anyway, excellent, very helpful and I am sincerely grateful.
Nvr mind i figured it out. From insert point mode double click on the last point on the route and drag to next point. With a more modern program you'd simply right click on the last point and would have a drop down with "add to route" option. Basecamp is hilariously clunky.

Thanks I watch all you videos you explain it very well x
Thanks for the post. Basecamp is like something from the 1980's. Can you provide advice on how continue adding to the end of a route?

That's good, you are right, it does seem very antiquated. I created the videos because so many people were struggling to get going with it.
Fantastic and Easy to Understand
Thank you so much I was getting so angry with this program I thought it should have been as simple as click and drag like google maps!

No problem, I'm glad that I could help :-)
you can also just hold Alt and then drag the route as you wish.
