- Ever wondered how the Ender Dragon came to be? Journey with us to a dimension called the past as a group of long-standing Mojangers desperately try and remember what happened back in 2011. I was more shocked of them actually mentioning the *name* (2:10) and the enderman original reference. I thought they would try to still have the story but replacing the *name* with them as a group and not an individual.

I am that person who never got to The End even after 10 years. I rather just build and explore, so its kinda nice hearing that its not a requirement, but a choice, after all Minecraft is all about what you want and choose to do. One day i'll do it, but i'm okay taking my time with that.

I like to think it is a meta lore.
The End of a game about placing blocks is a place, where there is a set objetive and few blocks. It's some sort of game design poetry.
Actual lore is secondary to this.

The End Update has soooo much potential, like not only having new biomes like the Nether update had but also updating the Ender Dragon and the Legendary fight and finally doing something with the dragon egg! Something so cool it'll have people talking about it decades later, like being able to hatch the dragon egg and grow and tame your own Ender Dragon for the first time in Minecraft history. That would be my dream update. It would, hands down, be the best update ever, literally

@Real_FatCat_Official Exactly, the egg is not needed to resurrect the Dragon, you can collect it and keep it as a trophy, because that's all it's useful for at the moment.

I like to imagine that phantoms are sleep demons from another dimension that appear when they feel a lack of melanin in the area, as they feed on the sleep of living beings, which leads them to attack you.

We need an end update. The boss battle is a bit underwhelming. You can just use beds to defeat it after destroying the end crystals. The dimension is also very boring for an end game location. You should be able to find more things like:
More mobs
More biomes
New ores
New items
An idea in a video I say was a mob who uses explosions as a defence mechanism. You could use an ore to upgrade weapons like:
Trident
Bow
Crossbow
You could also maybe use it on an elytra if you get enough of it. Maybe something like every 15 seconds it gives a boost like fireworks.
I also thought of a mob called void crawlers. It would be like a spider of the end. You would have to fly under the islands to find caves filled with them. However, there would also be chests filled with amazing loot, obsidian and the ore I mentioned.
In conclusion, we NEED an end update

The End Poem is such a beautiful way to end the game... The poem is very zen, very Taoist. I love listening to it. It's almost as if Alan Watts wrote it.
We know from the leaks of Minecraft Game Design that Mojang is using, which is also seen through the lore of Dungeons and Legends lore, that Endermen are nothing more than the destroyers of dimensions, they move the fundamental blocks of each dimension until is the dimension is gone. They are doing it very slowly but they have all eternity for it. The Hosts we learn about in Legends are the direct opposite of Endermen, they are the creators of dimensions. In the meaning of the real life cosmos, Endermen, Enderdragons, Endermites, these Ender creatures are the dark matter of cosmos

I came here expecting them to actually drop some lore and was very disappointed, especially since the developers deliberately refused to answer any questions regarding said lore. To anyone clicking on this thinking this is a lore video, sorry, it's not. It's a behind-the-scenes video of how it was developed as a mob.
Enderdragon is a really cool addition to the game. It's just that the actual fight is disappointing.
Hopefully it gets reworked on for the next minecraft 1.22 update

END update when? We dont need more pets we need an update to the end dimension. Also please give the elytra its own slot so we can carry full set of armor when using it. That additional slot can be used for other things like a backpacks or something which would help a lot the storage problem when traveling/exploring

The enderman/dragon relationship is like ants. She's the queen and they are her workers, they have to get a stack of blocks every day. That's why they teleport as well (for speed)
