How can you destroy the body and not the soul, if when the body dies so does the soul, doesn't the soul mean the existence of a person or a creature, or do we literally have a soul that flutters off at the time of death and where does it go ! This contradicts the teaching that we don't have a soul, but we are a soul, ( a living person or creature) ( we exist ) Please clarify !?
The Bible says in Genesis 2:7 that the man was formed from the dust of the ground and God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul or living being (NKJV). When a man or woman dies, they cease to exist and the breath returns to God who gave it (see Ecclesiastes 12:7). So a person ceases to be at death until the Lord returns and gives them back life if they are faithful (see 1 Thessalonians 2:16,18).
It is also written...And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 KJV Your belief system can't explain how it is possible to kill a body without also killing the soul. What do you think Jesus meant?
It sounds like you're not really believing there is an actual horrible Hell. I don't want to be anywhere near it. Only because of JESUS, I won't, by trusting in Him.
So well done.
