Drops from daily writs depend on crafting level. If you are only crafting in level 1 (i.e. iron/jute), your will receive reward crates of level 1. If you are only after the 600 gold (at lvl 50) it is fine. But the max level crates will drop gold mats from time to time, making it worth it IMO. If you have skill points to spare, I'd recommend leveling it up.

I just started this and is a pain in the ass. I needed to craft a banana pie 🥧 and beer 🍺. It took me 2hrs to find the damn bananas, the wheat and the sea weed. Does anyone know an easier way to find the missing ingredients? All of this runnign around looting and getting caught stealing isn't making this worth it.

Should you level up your toons' crafting for more profit or is it best to just use iron/jute etc?

You can get certified at level 6 and do them on all your toons daily for some quick gold! :)

When I talk to merchants like blacksmith, clothier etc., they don't sell any mats, only style materials, but no iron ingots etc.
