Sir, As mentioned in Section-13 regarding fixing of work on normal working day, as per sub-section b, payment of remuneration for rest day. My question is- when we engaged contract labour through Contractor, we give them a weekly off (Sunday) and reimburse the payment for their 26 or 27 days (depending upon number of working days in a month) and released payment in line with Central Minimum wage rate per day, Now shall we required to pay for rest day as well? means we have to pay for 31 or 30 days (including rest days) instead of 26 or 27 days (excluding rest days)?.

Code of wages, 2019 act has been enacted, which repealed the mentioned 4 acts. Do I still need to study Payment of wages act, 1936 , Minimum wages act, 1948, Payment of bonus act, 1965 and Equal remuneration act, 1976, for UGC Net code 55?
