i dont get why people find this creepy. Ive always thought of the boos as pretty adorable guys, so, when i found this, i found it more playful and even more adorable than creepy.
The music by itself isn't creepy. It's creepy because you hear it in the dingy basement of a haunted mansion, and it's the last thing that one would expect to hear in such a place.
Something about this just makes you feel nostalgic, the music itself has such a 90’s/2000’s feel to it. Something about the music is just so eerie and terrifying that words can’t explain it…
If you take a flight to France, when you get off the plane this song is playing. When you check into your hotel it's playing in there too. When you go out to dinner and sit outside at a table with an umbrella this song is playing through the night air. The next day you visit family that youve never met and they are playing this song inside their house. And when you get ready to get on the plane to fly back home you turn around and take one last breath of France and this song is playing. As you step up into the plane the music behind you begins to fade. Deeper into the tube of seats you go and the song is no longer playing. You sit down in silence and look out the plane window and see a band of 4 or 5 frenchmen start to pack up their instruments and call it a day.
you know what this song makes me think of? a bunch of corpes strung up on a large, slow spinning fan, while they all have glasgow grins carved into their faces * shudder *
I had an epiphany where this song was in 5/4 and everyone seemed to have been chill about it for like 30 years and I just realized now, then I remembered how the song actually plays and that 5/4 signature is as forgotten as Super Mario Maker 2
@@PedroTheBeatle1If you can't get past a 35-year old Mats Hummels and a guy who was bought from Freiburg for 20 million, the clown saga deserves to stay forever.
As a kid I was like YAY A FUN SECTION! Then ghosts started popping out since I was running around the room like a lunatic, so I decided to kill them so I could have more fun then big boo showed up... I didn't return to that room for a while lol
Saddex when I was 7, I was shit scared when I heard this song playing on my aunt's Nintendo 64. Not the Boos, this song in particular, then I had a fear of circus music from it. Had nightmares for days. Not sure about now.
I loved hearing this music as a kid, everytime I see someone play Super Mario 64 and goes to Big Boo's Haunt, I always tell them to go to the merry go round room, or when they go to. The merry go round room I tell them to take their time killing the Books because I loved the sound of the music
Doesn't sound the same without King Boo's laugh then again trying to get a King Boo in Super Mario 64 DS can really get on your nerves. King Boo: *laughs*
Imagine being in an amusement park, maybe with your friends. You are surrounded by uncanny entertainers, like clowns, flurries and animatronics...They are all staring back at you from a distance...Good bye sanity.
This once played at a hounted house we went to and I told my dad it was the merry-go-round theme from sm64 and he just said that it wasn't despite him playing the game before
I once used this in a butterfly inchworm animation video and now about 5 years later this exact same upload is getting recommended to me again everything circles back to my cringey BIA days
You can hear this loop in 2 ways: - a nice and funny carneval, everyone is in joy, laughing and having a great time with theri best friends, loved ones or family. - a underground horror facility where humans of all kinds are being tortured by deranged psychos. Skins are being peeled of, intestines are being torn apart and bones are repediatly broken. All while you hear the screams and laughs of creatures loosing their mind into madness.
let me clear something up, "Farewell to Gibdos" and "Merry-Boo-Round" are completely different songs. Only reason why people compare both is because of the very same instrument and the same theme. So yeah, they have a resemblance because of those 2 factors, but both have different scales.
I believe this is the NUMBER one tune I've always heard, due to the fact that I'm so clumsy and kept falling down when I was young. I believe I speak for some other people when I say this, though. Especially the little puzzle. Edit : This sounds nice in speed 2, and 1.5
For some reason, Big Boo was so hard for me and my brothers to find, we finally got a hint when we saw his shadow on the ground outside the mansion. Then it took us a while to actually get up by him. His star was probably the one that took us longest to get because we couldn't find him. XD
I remember playing this game with my cousin at 2 a.m. and we annoyed my parents with this song. lets just say it didn't end well... (no abuse or rape was involved)
everything about big boo's haunt was funny to 9yo me this carnival music, the giant eyes, that piano that jumped at you like an excited puppy ...but of all things, it was the boos that scared me lmao
Mario: “It feels like I might be awake… but something doesn’t feel right. And the lighting is off. The lighting is hazy, too dim, sometimes too bright, and with a bluish/greenish tint.” Mario later: “I’m in a coma!”
Where's the one twitch clip where a guy was in a call with a streamer and he got in sync with this song by coincidence twice? I been trying to find it but I can't.
I'll have this played at my funeral, so I can come back as a Boo.
+Naked Snake I thought I was the only one who heard the similarity xD
Fuck Yeah!
(┛❍ᴥ❍)┛彡┻━┻
Should have said I played this at my funeral
But you'll be forced to wait till everyone is away to leave: a Boo stays in place when stared at
ive seen this comment from another video
imagine you close your eyes while listening to this but when you try to open them again all you see is pitch black void and the music never stops
And you won’t ever die. It goes on infinitely as you turn utterly crazy and insane in existential cris
What the fuck scott.
I know am late but that's terrifying
I’d be satisfied
@@sharksthatdrown good
This is the song that I imagine plays whenever I'm doing a mind-meltingly repetitive task that makes me feel like I'm in some kind of purgatory.
reminds me of Pennywise the Clown if you ask me
On definitely not,
The endless staircase is so much worse,
Worse still, it's the best place to practice blj's
Yeah, I've been working a lot of 12 hour days recently and this song + me being spun around a room pretty much sum up how I feel
I would always just go here & listen to the music as a kid, not once thinking it was scary
this has been stuck in my head for 4 days and will probably be here forever
Fact: In Mario Kart 8, if you go near the Aqua Cups in Water Park, you can slightly hear this music!
ah mah gersh. U NERD
Louie ahh fuck you, it’s cool.
Yes i know that
huh

Thanks Maqwell, this has gone from a Super Mario 64 song to the PSG annual UCL exit anthem.
This plays in my head when I'm dizzy
Me too!
This helped me vomit all the alcohol and food I ate after a practice wedding rehearsal. Thanks.
Oh my god.
Damn
Huh. Hope the wedding went well.
Dammit.
Urm,you didn't need to share that ..what the fucking sigma joker...
*listens to zelda majora's mask music box house*
*listens to this*
I guess it DOES sounds similar.
Oh heck, true!
I just did exactly the same 😆
Just did this
Yes, more or less...
i was looking for this comment YES!
This song is either the best theme park song ever or the history of the PSG clownshow saga
IT'S THE RIDE THAT NEVER ENDS
And the picture frames that shit out BOO'S
I WANT TO GET OFF OF MR. BONES' WILD RIDE!!!
A few months have past
I remember getting stuck in the merry go round part and i couldnt get out lol
I WANT TO GET OFF OF MR. BONES’ WILD RIDE
This plays in Water Park in the spin around ride in Mario Kart 8
wait what
Thats why I came here
This song is the perfect blend of funny and terrifying
This is some uneasy shit right here.
This scared the shit out of me when I played SM64.
Can't blame you but it also sounds awesome.
i dont get why people find this creepy. Ive always thought of the boos as pretty adorable guys, so, when i found this, i found it more playful and even more adorable than creepy.
Probably because of the fire-breathing Boo portraits.
I don't know how you see the n64 verison boos more "adorable" sure the Ds somewhat "adorable" but come on dude that shit is nightmare fuel.
The music by itself isn't creepy. It's creepy because you hear it in the dingy basement of a haunted mansion, and it's the last thing that one would expect to hear in such a place.
Fellas we dont need to keep responding to my 11 year old comment. Let it die, its fine.
whenever I get stunned in Monster Hunter and stars are flying around my head, this is the song that immediately comes to mind.
I used to Waltz this around my room while playing Mario 64 as a kid…
John and Yoko would love it
it's fun just how many of the mario songs are waltzes
Something about this just makes you feel nostalgic, the music itself has such a 90’s/2000’s feel to it. Something about the music is just so eerie and terrifying that words can’t explain it…
everytime i hear this it isn't too bad, then after like 4 or 5 loops i start feeling like im going insane

WE HAVE A GIRAFFE!!!! THERE YOU GO, SON, NOW GET OUT OF HERE, YOU BOTHER ME.
This song plays in my head rent free
Yo, same here!
I play this music when a team in a league bottles it
You know a football team has screwed up when maqwell puts this song in the background
Fr lol I was searching for this kind of comment about Maqwell😂 but mostly PSG use it and arsenal
Maqwell bought me here 😭
POV: You're PSG, and you bottled the Champions League again.
Maqwell reference, nice
POV: Maqwell makes a documentary on your failure
you know what this song makes me think of? a bunch of corpes strung up on a large, slow spinning fan, while they all have glasgow grins carved into their faces * shudder *
I remember a scene from The Evil Within game like that.
Sounds like something the Joker would do.
Yeah
o.o
bruh
I know this song thanks to a French Football Club that is continously mentioned by Maqwell
lol psg
I had an epiphany where this song was in 5/4 and everyone seemed to have been chill about it for like 30 years and I just realized now, then I remembered how the song actually plays and that 5/4 signature is as forgotten as Super Mario Maker 2
WE MAKIN' IT OUTTA THE AFTERLIFE WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mario's slow descent into madness
If you play it at 2, it sounds like actual carnival music
If you meant speed 2x, yes it does.
And 1.25x too
It actually does
they changed the speeds, now it's just 2 lol
NO WAY, THIS IS PSG'S THEME
(before you ask, Maqwell brought me here. Three times.)
"It truly is the history of the PSG"
The PSG 🤡 Saga Continues.....
@@PedroTheBeatle1If you can't get past a 35-year old Mats Hummels and a guy who was bought from Freiburg for 20 million, the clown saga deserves to stay forever.
It ain't just PSG in the UCL, it's Arsenal too.
Why is this scary to some people? I think it's just funny
It's creepy funny to me, it's a special kind of funny, it still doesn't detract from the creepiness, but it adds to the funny!
As a kid I was like YAY A FUN SECTION! Then ghosts started popping out since I was running around the room like a lunatic, so I decided to kill them so I could have more fun then big boo showed up... I didn't return to that room for a while lol
Not scary at all just really catchy

Saddex This sounds like if someone was drunk
Listening to this song and others to celebrate the N64's 18th birthday! This song comes from the N64's best selling game ever!
They should have a Boo Merry-Go-Round at the Mario theme park and play this.
Yes.
Be more specific. It's Called Land Of Super Mario 64!
Every loop that repeats, I'm getting more INSANE AAAHHHHH *falls to the ground and continues listening to the soundtrack in his head *
this sucks
I remember this music in some minigames in SM64DS
I remember it in some NSMBDS minigames as well
usa against panama

“PSG Still Can’t Win the UCL” ahh music

I love boo's!
They are awesome :'D
And cute ^w^
Boos are ghosts so they must have had a past. Maybe the boos that hang out near the Merry-Go-Round really liked amusement parks in their past.
This sounds like the old cafe in Germany!
I was high and listened to this and could not stop laughing for a good 30 minutes
PSG and Arsenal's history in the Champions League:
Dis my jam.
HOW
Got my ass whupped to this song back in the day.
Doesn't sound the same without King Boo's laugh then again trying to get a King Boo in Super Mario 64 DS can really get on your nerves.
King Boo: *laughs*
Imagine being in an amusement park, maybe with your friends. You are surrounded by uncanny entertainers, like clowns, flurries and animatronics...They are all staring back at you from a distance...Good bye sanity.
whos here for the psg music from maqwell?
Both my last brain cell during a test and my last shred of sanity when working customer service 😆

I prefer the first option.

This sounds like the fair.
Wait a sec, kinda resembles the Paper Mario song for Boo's Mansion...
Ahhh, the detail...
This always creeped the shit out of me. It's like you're in a creepy carnival with killer clowns
There's nothing scary about this song. In fact, find this quite Charming
Just a normal merry go round, hopefully it does get abandoned...
Thank for the vid! xD Used it to figure the song out on piano by ear. :P
Ce niveau me rappel des cauchemars car je ne trouver jamais la bonne porte mais aussi des souvenirs car ça me manque ce niveau.
