    The entire music video is the exact events that took place the night of her overdose. The jacket she wears in the music video is the same jacket she wore the night she over dosed. The guy was her dealer she called over who gave her aftermarket pills that were laced with fentanyl. While she was unconscious he ended up assaulting her and leaving her for dead. He assistant found her the next morning and called her security for help. The ambulance got there and told them that she was 5 minutes away from dying. The tubes in her neck were dialysis: a machine that is used to take her blood from her body clean it and then push it back into her body. She suffered 3 strokes, a heart attack, multiple organ failure, she became blind and still had blind spots in her vision now, and she also had pneumonia due to asphyxiation. Her documentary covers everything so beautifully and so candidly.

    She's so strong her being able to recreate that whole night of her overdose the same outfit and everything and then the drug dealer taking advantage of her she even said on Instagram this was one of the most hardest video shoots she's ever done it's like she had to relive that night and it's kinda cool how she had her mom and sisters in the video with her

      I know this is much later, and I don't mean to nitpick, but her drug dealer didn't "take advantage of her." She wasn't conscious or ble to consent; he raped her.

      Moderation and Harm Reduction are treatment for addiction. 100% abstinence which is common with 12 step doesn’t work for everyone it works for a bit but the relapse is much bigger. Relapse is a part of recovery. Demi ended up with crack and heroin mix. Ending up getting laced unintentionally with fentanyl, that’s a huge physical addiction in addition to psychological. Demi doesn’t “need to learn” she is working with a team. She smokes marijuana. Opioids kill, cannabis heals. I work in a dispensary many opioid and heroin addicts are able to stay away from that when they switch to cannabis. It provides medicinal relief that won’t kill her. I think ppl need to do some research before judging.

    • @doublefeature
      @doublefeature 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alyssahomen3753 i think people really need to open their minds when it comes to different forms of recovery and the fact it's not a one size fits all process. this is why the success rate for 12 step programs are only about 10%. if we simply look at the facts, there have to be other ways that may potentional help people where 12 steps and abstinence couldn't. that being said, i try not to judge but i do worry about moderation in terms of drinking for someone that has basically said her relapse STARTED with alcohol. i don't know her nor her recovery well enough to really pass judgment. she's the only one that knows what is best for her.

    • @doublefeature
      @doublefeature 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Silicon Nomad which is why 12 step programs have about a 5-10% success rate. personally, cannabis helped save my life and KEEP me sober. recovery is different for everyone and we need to learn to be less rigid in our thinking about it.

    She wears the same outfit as the od, same hair, even the scenes of her drinking looks exactly like the bar she spent the night at before going home and calling her dealer (the blonde hair dude) who took advantage of her when she was high and left her to die. The survivor tattoo is in the same place where she had the needles that detoxified her blood

    I don't think it's surprising that people think about religion when they nearly reach the end. I think its comforting to know that there's someone, anyone or anything that is there, with us after we die.
    It's not as lonely as feeling like there's absolutely nothing there when we die. Nothing. Not even darkness or the colour black.

    Demi is so brave and courageous for doing this video.... It had to be very triggering for her... Ppl really don't understand u really are gambling with ur life.... U can do some of it and be fine and then do some more and it kill u.... I have seen it first hand my friends on heroin and it's scary to watch I had a neighbor where I use to live OD on heroin and we couldn't save him.... They came knocking on my door for me to come do CPR and he had been there for 7 hours like that over night and it was to late.... And I have fought addiction my self and I am 9 yrs sober so this song was so emotional and hit home with me 💕💕💕

    I wish people wouldn't keep saying her drug dealer "took advantage of her." Doesn't matter if she was unconscious from drugs. She couldn't consent. That's rape. Using words that are less abrasive or controversial just minimizes what he did to her.
