Love how you painted them on different facing walls, such a great idea to truly figure out what is best. I have decided to go with agreeable gray for my home!!
Mindful gray - just do it. I thought it would be too dark for the house, so I only did my sons room that color - I really wished I had done it throughout the house though. Just posted an update with it complete if you want to check it out!
You have done a great job..I do the same with taking time with putting them on the wall..glad u found what u liked..would love a follow up for when its all done!!
Choosing the right grey was a nightmare!! I choose upward and looks totally blue. It supposed to be grey! Thank you for your video, I will choose one of your colors.
I’ve tested more grey samples than any human being alive. After painting my house with “Passive” that turned light blue on me, I found “Seattle” which is a true grey.
Oct 25 2021, I'm in the same position! I chose Valspar's urban sunrise. I had a hard time choosing a grey, because most of the shades that I liked, once I painted swatches on my wall, looked blue! The urban sunrise, appears to be a light to mid tone grey.
I have so far tried Repo Gray and Mindful gray. Repo gave a bit of bluish purple undertone so it was rejected. Mindful gray is good but has a lower LRV so room will need to have some light. I need to try Agreeable gray sometime in the future. Which primer do you recommend?
Love the Repose and Agreeable grey the best. I have Repose Grey throughout my home and love it. Side bar....can you tell me where you got that tall white shelf from??? I've been looking ALL OVER for it, can't find it😩
Ty I pulled an all nighter trying to figure out about agreeable gray ! It's so confusing bc Actually pulled in all my nerves last night because the painterr come in this morning
All the light shades of gray look light blue. I got a sample of agreeable gray and it doesn't look gray at all. It has a blue tint to it which looks ugly.
Omg yes I just painting my whole room agreeable grey and I absolutely hate it. It looks purple! I don’t know what to do I’m so annoyed by it but I worked so hard painting lol
It’s The Lighting In Your Home. Agreeable Gray Looks Beige In My Home. And Repose Gray A Little Green. That’s Why It’s Very Important To Buy Samples. I’m Fixing To Go Buy My Samples. I’d Rather Spend $7 Bucks x3. Then Repaint A Hole Area All Over Again.
Judging by the dark accents in your room, i would not pick any dark grays, otherwise you will have a monotone boring room that doesn’t have any contrast.
Well okay then! I'm not the only one who agonizes over grey paint! I HAVE to show my DH this video bc he thinks everyone else walks into a paint store, eyeballs a couple of chips, picks one and leaves store with their paint. Wha-lah! Bud-da-bing! Complaint #1- don't whip your camera around so dang fast! Complaint #2 - Hey! I fully expected to see the room painted with your chosen color at end of the vid! That's like watching a murder mystery where the suspects are gathered together; the camera pans from face to face, then the movie ends. No private dick reveals the murderer! Complaint #3 - quit making me feel like a lazy bum! I've never put the effort into painting samples on all 4 walls. No, I just slap up a little blob on the nearest wall, paint the room, moan and groan, then repaint a new color. Repeat. I might as well be using a dart board to pick out colors. The process got easier after I discovered 1 can of paint = 1 bottle of wine. Use the paint's LRV to select the correct wine. The higher the LRV, the lighter colored the wine. But stick with wine, I learned the hard way not to drink Everclear while painting a tall ceiling pure white.

Thanks for an excellent visual video of different shades of gray / greige paint choices
I never knew finding the right grey for my home would be this difficult 😥..

You can ask the paint store to lighten or darken a color you like by adjusting the color ants (25%, 50%, etc.)
@@icedteamama176 That is a good idea.

All the gray's I've tried look super blue too and I really don't want that either
Revere Pewter is light with no blue, but its a grey/beige. Mindful gray is really nice as well, and its not too dark.
Omg yes I just painting my whole room agreeable grey and I absolutely hate it. It looks purple! I don’t know what to do I’m so annoyed by it but I worked so hard painting lol
Agreeable looks more beige to me, not blue
It’s The Lighting In Your Home.

Titanium is a soft, light gray..no undertones. It's by Behr...
