So the sneak peeks i pointed out: Hazbin Hotel will explore human world from a different perspective than in Helluva Boss; What happens to sinners when they die is going to actually be answered; Season 2 will get into a couple of characters' past lives, with more backstories to come in the future; Keekee will get more screentime as an actual "manifestation" of the hotel in S2; The show will get more into a bigger question of redemption and forgiveness in some way; S2 is "grander". And of course more talk about how hard it was to fit the S1 story into 8 episodes. Damn.
Maybe the way it will explore the human world is by flashbacks of the main cast lives before dying (extremely anxious for Angel and Alastor human lives particularly).
Season 2 is for sure going to answer bigger questions. Like, "What else don't we know about the angels in Heaven?", "How do they not know how souls entering Heaven works?", and the biggest one... "Were the angels abandoned by their own creator, is that why they have no idea how it works?" They'll definitely need multiple seasons to answer those questions.
I think Velvette is, of the three, the most likely to be redeemed. I assume Charlie wouldn't even entertain the thought of accepting Val. Vox? Unlikely, given his history with Alastor and the deal with Vaggie. As for the deal witth Charlie, I'm assuming it blows up in everyone's face resulting in Alastor altruist dying for his friends. Sorry to disappoint, this is now how it ends. Potentially in a fight with Vox.
I adore that song and watching Angel Dust & Husk sing it together. My husband & I still laugh about the ending, "There he is! And they're singing?! Get 'em!"😂
I do like how Viv answered about redemption. It's a tricky thing and there are some lines that can be crossed. So, on the bright side, this show wouldn't suffer "instant redemption" like most cartoons are guilty of. She didn't give names but I think Valentino is one of them. I also hope we'd get more seasons because it just has a really be story to tell. Most cartoons wouldn't get that far. 3 if they're lucky.
Valentino most likely since Viv has stated his abuse of Angel is based on an abusive relationship she was once in. Her answer about subjectivity and being wronged would definitely be indicative of that.
I don't care if Valentino singlehandedly saves all of hell from cataclysmic destruction AND donates all his internal organs _while still alive_ Nothing redeems a serial ra pi st
the whole question of redemption isn't necessarily 'is this person too far gone to be redeemed?' but 'do they actually WANT to be better?' redemption is something you have to actively work at after all. can't wait for season 2!!
Seeing Viv, her passion coming true, is so inspiring. She reminds me of myself in some ways and this interview is so awesome to watch cause seeing the building blocks that became Hazbin Hotel and overall her creativity is just so interesting to listen to. To say I’m fangirling is a wild understatement.
Speaking of the sister show Helluva Boss, it would be really cool if we could see some of the sinners from that show make appearances in Hazbin. Mrs Mayberry is totally redeemable. She only did one single murder-suicide fueled by blind rage (and commissioned another murder after she got to Hell), I'm sure Charlie can help her work though that ;)
I just love Husk and I love all their songs but I have a special affection for "loser baby" I would really like to know if we are going to have a new guest at the hotel besides Cherri Bomb. And also if Angel and Husk's relationship will remain just between the two of them, if you know what I mean 😏

Her describing her love of animals and drawing as a child reminds me of myself... deer (and cats) have always been my favorite animals since I could crawl. I'd debate as a child whether I wanted to animate as an adult or work with animals. I am 36 now and I took the animal direction and love that I did (I work at a vet), but despite that, animation will always be a pipe dream of mine!
I found a lot of that in myself too. Always loved animals ever since I was small, loved drawing and writing; and now I work at a nonprofit no kill shelter for abandoned, abused, and medically fragile kitties 🐱

For the amount of seasons of HB we can get, the only thing I pray that Amazon and Viv to do is to NOT handle it like AMC and RoosterTeeth handled their flagship IP’s. The Walking Dead ran for a long while, killed off the wrong characters for the wrong reasons and was forgotten about or left after “x” died (mainly Glenn or Carl), while RoosterTeeth ran Red vs Blue to the ground and caused them to go bankrupt and ultimately shut down by Warner Bros… of the two scenarios, I seriously cannot handle another Red vs Blue issue… not again..
I think the problem with Rooster Teeth was the overreach of trying to keep too many shows all at once going and going. They should have figured out ways to end some shows much sooner. RWBY was well loved and still had a huge fanbase but Red Vs Blue should have been cancelled a lot sooner. The viewership drastically died off quickly as the show was played out for way too long and it lost focus for sure.
I think if Spindle Horse Productions sticks to just the 2 shows for awhile they will be in a much better position than Rooster Teeth and their like a dozen shows.
The difference is those two shows were around way before, this decade is not the same as the early 2010s or 2000s so I don't think there would be a choice having only up to 2, 3 or 4 and 4 is a generous number and the most to expect to get.

He obviously cares about Charlie and the others, as evidenced when he and Nifty are watching them from the top of the stairs and he says, "One could get accustomed". Some fans don't seem to notice how protective he is, and only someone so powerful could do that successfully. If he hadn't found out how to kill the exorcists, and raised an army to wield the weapons, AND protect them as long as he could with a shield, they would have all died in the extermination. The only ones we know of that he took souls from were powerful overlords; even Husk was an overlord. Alastor is not evil that we've seen at all - just scary when he wants to be. He's from 1920s New Orleans, and being a radio personality, singing, and playing music was his life. Jazz was "hot jazz" by then, and (according to Mimzy) he liked rye whiskey. It's a spicy taste, and that fits his character perfectly. Great details to a complex character. I think the mystery around Alastor is part of his allure too, serial killer or not.
I didn't know demons actually existed while watching this show being an atheist over and over while being super drunk messing up my body, now im reconnecting back with god asking for forgiveness and fending off the demons at my warehouse job being strong until i could get my dream career. I love Alastor and his story. He obviously cares about Charlie and the others, as evidenced when he and Nifty are watching them from the top of the stairs and he says, "One could get accustomed". Some fans don't seem to notice how protective he is, and only someone so powerful could do that successfully. If he hadn't found out how to kill the exorcists, and raised an army to wield the weapons, AND protect them as long as he could with a shield, they would have all died in the extermination. The only ones we know of that he took souls from were powerful overlords; even Husk was an overlord. Alastor is not evil that we've seen at all - just scary when he wants to be.
He's from 1920s New Orleans, and being a radio personality, singing, and playing music was his life. Jazz was "hot jazz" by then, and (according to Mimzy) he liked rye whiskey. It's a spicy taste, and that fits his character perfectly. Great details to a complex character. I think the mystery around Alastor is part of his allure too, serial killer or not.
Angel dust is my favorite character, I love angel because I relate to him so much. I’m so scared angel will die in season 2 😭
