Great tutorial. This will save so much time when you're listening back to a 2hr video printmaster and have to repair some clicks/pops.

The only issue with this that I’ve personally come across is that sometimes delay and reverb tales don’t line up because they react different. But when it works it works great!

I agree! However, the solution to that is to start recording a measure or two before where you actually are trying to insert your new edit so that the timebase effects have time to react and happen, if that makes sense.

@@AaronTrimbleMusic yeah definitely! Sometimes it’s hard to do that as well when a song is heavily affected and there’s reverb/delay everywhere. Like a dance/pop song or rap. But yeah otherwise that is a good solution!

That is correct, I therefore always use non-destructive punch in and out, adjust the clip boundaries to be safe about reverb and delays, check the result, then consolidate.

@@michaelbottcher3643 well yeah doing a mode normal punch is what we’re talking about but again it doesn’t always work perfectly. Just depends on the material or how involved the effects are.

2:32 I would make some tiny cross fades before consolidate. Cheers!
