I really do believe that uneven line distributions are based on the following: 1. member's vocal range (like this one, you can't simply put jisoo's line all over the song since there's alot of pretty high notes) 2. the song's theme/concept itself (the member's line distributions depend on how the song suits the member's voice/style) I don't think we necessarily have to put the blame on the producers or yg himself since every song is different and if we want our biases to shine, we just have to wait for them to release a song that best suits their style/vocal range
But complains regarding line distribution has been present since ages ago. How some Sones will complain about Hyo's almost non-existent lines in SNSD songs, how some fans complain that CL comprises almost more than half of every 2NE1's songs, same goes with Hyorin of Sistar.

The gap between those 4 isnt so big, all 4 of them shine individually. Jisoo doesnt get so many lines compared to the others but she still gets enough lines, just not a lot. You forget what happened with 2ne1? Dara almost each time didnt have more than 18 seconds, Exo's Sehun and so on. Blackpink in general have good line distributions.

I am a blackpink fan and I am happy to see Jisoo to get more light time and singing but YG is well known to pick favorites member in groups. it's pretty obvious every MV Jennie always have the best dress and the longest line whether in rap or singing... I really do believe that uneven line distributions are based on the following:
1. member's vocal range (like this one, you can't simply put jisoo's line all over the song since there's alot of pretty high notes)
2. the song's theme/concept itself (the member's line distributions depend on how the song suits the member's voice/style)
I don't think we necessarily have to put the blame on the producers or yg himself since every song is different and if we want our biases to shine, we just have to wait for them to release a song that best suits their style/vocal range

And here we have BP which have Teddy as their producer which is also the main producer for 2ne1 so we cant really say Teddy is fair too right?? It just that in YG they are prone to give line to those who have voices that have suitable style to the song. Not everything is YG fault ya know. 🌝

came here bc someone (specifically a petty lisa stan) complained on yg's ig acc saying he/she is so done, isn't a blink anymore but instead a lisa stan, that lisa deserves better bc she got the least lines for two songs, that it's so unfair, that lisa should just go to sm/jyp/cube. everyone in blackpink deserves the best, but it's normal in a group that one member would have the least lines and lisa rarely gets the least lines bc it's mostly jisoo but i haven't seen any jisoo stan being THIS petty smh. i mean leaving the fandom bc of one song that lisa had the least lines at? smfh. a fellow lisa stan even posted it on twitter telling blinks to complain to yg and lisa deserves better and they love lisa etc. why complain when u can just enjoy the damn comeback? jfc. the more i encounter these kind of lisa stans, the more i dislike them (ofc not all lisa stans, just those immature smh) and what's more sad is that he/she said that in his/her campus, they support blackpink because of lisa, chinese blinks buy blackpink's album just bc of lisa, etc. please blinks, appreciate, love and support OT4 BLACKPINK. not just your bias. it's sad and unfair.
I am a blackpink fan and I am happy to see Jisoo to get more light time and singing but YG is well known to pick favorites member in groups. it's pretty obvious every MV Jennie always have the best dress and the longest line whether in rap or singing... I am not saying Jennie suck or hating on her but if YG really care about line distributions on each songs they should've realize that Jisoo has always little to no time in line... and when she does it push back on Lisa's rapping time while Jennie and Rose has always have lines more than those two. I love Rose's voice but Jennie voice will surely tune in with Rose which therefore cutting on Rose's line for her would've been the best choice from the beginning since they're both supposedly the vocal singers while Jennie can be the rap or singer while Lisa has no choice but the Rap and Dance lead girl, but none of the music video did it ever show Lisa having a dance break solo moment, nor little rap here and there but only get 1 rap line and the rest is history. was excited to see Jisoo gets more light than ever before but disappointing at the same time to see Lisa received little to no line in the songs. even the scenes in the newest one it's all about Rose and Jennie. Jisoo fans had been crazy about her having little to no time too maybe they didn't complain directly to YG but they did so through social medias. I enjoy the visual, the beat, and the outfits (mega branding on YG part) but just remember that blackpink fans been waiting for so long for each music video since YG kept putting them in the dark. I kinda understand that crazy Lisa fan perspective but she did went overboard with it, I too am disappointing with the song distribution just like any other songs after Bombayah mainly because of the song distribution. I feel bad for those two members who contributes as much as the other two.
TBH.... though, Lisa's fansites bought a large portion of the albums so I guess they do have a right to complain when their fave get the least lines

This is a very fair line distribution as Rosé is the main vocalist, Jennie is main rapper and lead vocalist, JiSoo is lead vocalist, and Lisa is lead rapper and sub-vocalist. Also, Lisa had lines that were quite memorable and iconic.

I know she also sang, but more than anything I focus on the fact that her lines are in accordance with her main role in the group. Lisa as lead rapper also has her rap and some memorable lines. I don't know if I make myself understood.

This is a fair line distribution main vocal-main rapper-lead vocal-lead rapper. Just because it's not your fav who got the most lines doesn't mean you can go on and rattle. Lisa was given time to shine (PWF and AIIFYL), Rose was also given hers (BOOMBAYAH and STAY + 2 tracks here in the mini album PS one is the title track titled Ddu-du Ddu-du :-)), we also have Jennie's (whistle + 2 tracks here in the mini album). I think we all know who deserve to shine more, but guess what? Even though most of the time Jisoo had the least line, she's not complaining, and another thing... JISOO RIGHT THERE SHINED! GETTING RECOGNITIONS SHE DESERVE. APPRECIATIONS SHE DESERVE AND WORKED HARD FOR.
I honestly think that WE SHOULDN'T focus on line distributions, because no matter how big or small their parts were, THEY ALWAYS KILL IT. They always SLAY their parts. Their parts are so essential that it's not Blackpink if it's not them who would sing those parts.
