    These are seriously the most underrated dogs. I've owned a couple of different breeds and dealt with way more. I miss my Eskie. He was by far the best dog I've ever dealt with

    • @mikeg3439

      I don't need an alarm clock ever since I got mine. She learned at what time my alarm goes off, so she started waking me up around 5 mins before it at times. I tried just not using my alarm, she would wake me up with an error margin of plus or minus 10 minutes every day, which worked fine for me, until daylight saving hit and then I was screwed lol.

      Amanda Lamb IMO That's because he's been taught that food is scarce and something to be anxious about. I have a toy and a standard (both of them fit and muscular and fast), I leave the bowl out all the time. They'll take out a piece and go over to their pillows to eat it, then go back for another. No quarrelling, no wolfing it down, a large bowl lasts both of them three or four days. My son's dog (extra fat little Chihuahua) comes over to visit and starts snarfing it down, they look at her like she's a barbarian. It's all in what they learn from puppyhood on - make them secure and comfortable and they'll behave naturally, make them not trust the world and they'll act neurotic.

    • @amandalamb5724
      @amandalamb5724 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rosethornne1539 You are right. That's what I have always done with my dogs just left it out . They learned it would always be there and they would never be hungry. Because of that they only ate what they needed. Never ate fast unless I gave them something like steak.

      Your dog is young so perhaps just focus on training and playing. When they are past the puppy stage, physical exercise and mental stimulation will help. My dog loved to play games - hide and seek, snuffle pad, puzzle toys, learning tricks, etc. But she also loved just hanging out and interacting with family members. These are companion dogs, and they demand the same companionship from you that they are willing to give to you. And they give tenfold. Believe me, you will realize this when it is their time to cross the rainbow bridge. The void they leave behind is something you will never get over completely.
