The M38 was developed in 1949, so it would have been a Korean War vehicle. Ford produced the Mutt jeep. Even though the U.S. Army called it that (and Ford documents too) it was always just called a jeep by soldiers. I probably should have avoided all the boring designations. What Im interested in is the toy. I applogise to everyone for any incorrect or misleading info. Im not an expert and I seldom use notes, so I make mistakes. Im sorry.

@@iggystoyparadesoldierrevie1092 Yes, fortunately I still have my soldiers from when I was a kid. I've been collecting since I was 13 at least. I now have an entire army. I get a lot of mine from BMC toys, I think I've mentioned them in previous comments. What other stuff did you keep from childhood? You know, you could possible sell some of it for a bit of cash if you don't mind parting with them. I wish I still had my PC, my dad threw it away when I was 12. I am also a bit of a retro gamer, My newest game is 15 years old at least, if not older. People are always telling me to move with the times. My brother always tells me I'm an idiot for liking older things, but I just do! I was devastated when my dad chucked out my computer, never really got over it in 23 years!!!! ) :

I have a few plains from Ultimate Warior.
I've got the Corsair, P-38, and a Jug. I'd like a few more but they're getting kinda spendy and hard to find.
I appreciate your posting these things, thank you. If you don't mind me asking what did you have to pay for the Jeep ?
I agree, skipping out on the dash board was a cheap shoot.

I got one jeep for $4.98 (haven't showed it yet) and I think about $30.00 was the highest but it has been over 20 years so I'm not sure exactly
It sounds like you have some cool planes! You are right about them costing too much now. The supply is beginning to disappear.

M38 is not WW2 jeep, although they are very similar...and I don't think the MUTT was produced by willys...it can be a little confusing with all the different models from the fourties and fifties

Thank you for catching my error! It would be unfortunate to just let mistakes ride. I had a book that identified Australians as German colonials. I got into an argument with someone over it and presented a very convincing case. Anyway, he reluctantly agreed with me. I was looking at the photo when I realized that their hats were bent upwards on the left side instead of right. I then started to study closely the photo. The rifle was not an 1888 Mauser carbine, but rather a Lee Metford. I had to apologize to everyone for my error which was initiated by a mislabeled photo image. Sometimes a little knowledge can be as bad as none. I only have cursory knowledge of anything which causes me to make regrettable errors ,(like calling an M41 tank a WWII tank)
