I just recently lost my dad on November 22nd 2023 and here’s a recap about his life story. He was born and Raised in Tulare CA. Born in January 30th 1993 He was loved by many and was such a great father and loved by many and had a amazing sense of humor. He recently just married the love of his life and was looking forward to creating a better life for his family. On November 22nd 2023 he passed away at the age of 30 In Fresno Hospital and was surrounded by family and friends. He was such an amazing person and he would help so much Homeless people. We need more people like him

Just passing through. Stumbled on to this song and suddenly made me think of my father. It was in 2009 when he died, due to cancer. Listening to this after all these years just reminded me how much I miss him and it hit me hard like a ton of bricks. He was the best father any son or daughter could ever ask for. And now that he's gone, it hasn't been the same since. After 14 years, every now and again, the pain of grief and heartbreak returns to haunt me and hurts just the same in thinking why the hell did he have to go so soon? He was only 64

With all the biggest losses in my life.....my grandparents (who were my parents) and my best friend I never got to say goodbye to anyone of them. It hurts. It's like I don't have closure. I know with God's promise I will see them again......it's just not soon enough.

But. I have to admit; I don’t have many regrets for my friend who just passed OTHER than it was suddenly and maybe one or two things I only eluded to Vs out right told them, so I have mostly peace. Except in that yeah, I was expecting like, a funeral or something and it seems that won’t be happening or at least any time soon, so…
As it was my first experience with someone actively leaving my life, which then showed me I have a LOT to grieve where ie my bff killed herself but I didn’t find out til well after I had to move away, I have been journaling a lot. Also built a playlist of songs that speak to the relationship between me and my friend that died; he was more like a dad and spiritual counselor than anybody I’ve known in my lifetime including my own bio dad…. I am going to make a piece of art (I hope) that represents him, and I also have decided I am going to continue a tradition or two of his. He was a very faithful believer in God and so had a little alarm set to go off purely to give thanks to God, like multiple times a day. Luckily I recorded some of our conversations and so caught his exact wording so will memorize that….and also meditate on how much laughter and chill but realness he had especially in his last few months and having had our friendship. Not that I’m hot shit, but his life and body were in sad shape and so when I get to missing I remind myself he isn’t “dead”, he is “out of the suffering of this body and life” and think on how much we did laugh or the stuff he told me like how I’m good for his heart like he was good for mine. Will still be good for mine.
🙏🏽🙏🏽 May we remember our fallen in Love and carry with us the light they brought into us, and may we have courage to shine that light into others, and also be gentle with ourselves when our spirit freshly grieves our lost loved ones. It could be a day or a decade, but those who touch our heart light get a strong response; we Loved them intensely. May we get thru smoothly, with the grace of YHWH, in the ever-loving arms of Yeshua. @nadirabotwin7435 my best friend recently passed away, too, and one of the suggestions that I read was to write letters to him. Instead of doing that, I have a recorder on my phone so I use that to relay my "letters" to him. It's been very helpful.
