Landing in Santa Clara & Bus Ride to Cayo Santa Maria Time Lapse in 12 Minites

This time lapse is just to show you how much enjoyable is the ride from Santa Clara airport to Cayo Santa Maria. Yes it is a 90 minute bus ride but it really seems half that time. You will be going thru half a dozen towns such as Camejuani, Remedios and Caibarien followed by a 48Km causeway that connects the main island of Cuba and Cayo Santa Maria. The causeway took 10 years to built from 1989 to 1999.

Still blows my mind that everything out on that key went down that causeway at some point. Here’s to starting the island hopper air service to las brujas airport when I win the lottery! Can’t wait to get back there Nov 26 - Dec 3. See you there!

I was there in 2017 at the Sanctuary. I was supposed to go last year October to the Royalton but they cancelled twice because the resort never reopened until November. Hopefully I will go back next year. I went to Playa Puesquero in 2018. I really liked there. Fantastic large resort. The video brought back memories.

I did this drive on May 10 i was at Selectum hotel for 7 days and going back at the end of July !! I am not rich i saved for years and i live a bad home situation so i need time away and Cuba is tge place for !! I will stay at Grand Sirenis this time and i hope to see some friendly faces once morr 😊

Its a 95 min drive !! Workers they do that everydays to go and come back from work unless you are Entertainment then you stay at the resorts

How WONDERFUL is this video Marco!!! I was laughing during the bus ride and at the same time my heart was palpitating lol, It felt like as if I was in a live Mario Kart lol 😄! I enjoyed seeing the landscape, lots of old cars, etc... Seeing the coconut trees brought back some memories. Have you guys tried coconut water and the "nannan" meaning the inside has they call it in Haiti? I am sure you guys have from all the travelling you guys do 😊. I have climbed a coconut tree when I was younger, not easy to do lol 😄!
