Thanks for your amazing guides, Jeffrey. They are so useful!
I sorely missed them on the few tracks not covered this season. Nobody else shares guides of that quality.
I had a great race today after rewatching this one. Finished 5th of the top split (the 3 top guys had 8k, 7k and 4k IR 😳), made no big mistakes and did pretty consistent 45s the whole race.
It made up for all those races were I either make stupid mistakes or get wrecked by over-eager drivers!
Hope you'll be kind enough to do some more guides for next season 🙏🏻.

Another great video! How difficult is it break down the video into segments that are labeled? Intro, lap, turn 1, turn 2, etc. It is a feature that I appreciate in other guides.

Hmm not sure TBH but I can look into it. That said I do have links to the corners down in the description of the video every week.
But yeah, not sure how to make them segments on the video. Will look into that.

@@elgatoconlapipa if you swap the order around then it auto-creates chapters, which is I think what Dave is after. Instead of "Turn 1 : 13:37", do "13:37 Turn 1" in the decription - TH-cam takes care of the rest :)

@@olig89 oh sweet! I'll give that a shot. Thanks so much!

Your track guides are great. I'm a neo D license and getting used to the f4 and the tracks is a real challenge. I'm like a baby - I know what I should do but making my hands and feet match ambition is really hard with lots of tumbles. Your walkthroughs are great for knowing what I should do even if I'm 2 sec off your pace.

Just remember, if I or anyone of the other "fast guys" was just starting out starting we would also be 2 seconds off the pace. It's all about practice and seat time so you'll get there! The best advice I can give at this stage is try to be as consistent as possible. It'll make things a lot easier to analyze in telemetry when you get to that point.

Mark, if you are 2 seconds off Jeffrey's pace on this track, you are doing extremely well and can race in top splits. 3-4k irating folks pace at 1:45-46 and midsplits around 1:46-47. If you go to session results tab, you can see previous races and time in your SoF

Boris - yes fair point. On this track I've only done a series of laps last night and 2 sec would make me jump for joy.
I was referring to results on the other tracks this season. I've gotten to 2 sec a few laps but, to Jeffery's point above, without any consistency.
At Bathurst, for example, I had a few ok laps far outnumbered by resets from spinning and binning it while going down the mountain.
Seat time is important for sure.

this is insane time, what planet did you say you were from?? :) I chase you using your Garage61 laps and you always sooo far. But thanks to your track guide just hit 1.47 and felt lucky. I am using the same track condition as for actual races

    • @elgatoconlapipa

Hah thanks but there's always someone faster. I ran into one of them last night! FWIW the track conditions for races change race to race because they're randomly generated. So not every race session is the same. These conditions are generated with the same parameters as the race sessions. I've actually run into slightly faster tracks for the fixed series than I got here and slightly slower tracks for open.
