You deserve better. You're capable of better. Get out of your own way. Stop focusing on your problems and start focusing on the solutions.

@@cherobinson6371untrue. I have been homeless. I struggled for 7 months but finally found a place. Not only was I homeless I was in an abusive relationship also. Got the hell away from that as well. Get rid of everything and anything that weighs you down, find supports, ...there is a way out. Regardless of what's going on.

Abandoning your children is a form of abuse. Children need both parents. Once you decide to have children ,they become the priority. There's no excuse for not being there for your children. Fatherless children shouldn't suffer , because fathers have given up.

I had a place for 20 years and lost it due to someone else's addiction issues. I became homeless but remained sober. I took all the steps, jumped through all the hoops, did what I had to do...I have had a home for 3 years again. So it IS possible

the guy hadn't bottomed yet. he gets by on the kindness of strangers. he should start just picking up trash instead of sitting around feeling sorry. anybody that shows willingness to do a job reliably will be able to improve his situation. simply put, he refuses to work and take responsibility for himself. that is unacceptable by society.

Go back home to your mom brothers and kids! Any friendship centre or homeless shelter will help you with a bus ticket! Once you get there - get your ID set up via your mom - you will find it easier with family! If you are worried about the methadone - set it up with your doctor/and either get an extra months supply or have the prescription sent to your hometown!

Stop complaining and do something about it. Get off the feeling and stand up and be a man. Stop blaming others for your choices. He’s lost in this world and needs to seek the truth. Sad but there’s always hope ,quite thinking and start doing. He has to learn the hard way.

What nonsense. Have you examined the average cost of home rent relative to average wages in Canada these days? We are experiencing near hyperinflation on consumer essentials.

@@marcusleja7133 Read my comment carefully. Majority of homeless people have mental issues, drug addiction and alcoholism. Except the mental issue, others are life style choices and you must take responsibility of your life style choices.

This man’s life stems from childhood trauma, that said, there is a lot of resources for First Nations people. The downtown east side is a cess pool. Get out.
