    I think it'd be more fun for you to do it chronological so you can see her change throughout the years! I like how you really listen to what she's talking about and pick up on the story. I agree Lana albums are the best to get in your feels!

    • @elvideoentertainment
      @elvideoentertainment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      I was thinking the same thing, to see the progression and to know the story and get references that she makes

    • @user-wl9gw7xe2q
      @user-wl9gw7xe2q 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@elvideoentertainment yes she definitely has recurring themes & lyrics across the albums - also the next two albums chemtrails & blue banisters are both very self-reflective albums so think you’d get the most from them with a bit of context!

  • @taral7334

    you should 100% go through her discography chronologically - her growth is sphenomenal and overwhelmingly beautiful!

    This is a great album to be in an altered state of mind to listen, you'd like Born to Die/Paradise more. Lots of hip hop beats, more upbeat, but still very dark. Writing in blood on the walls is a Marquis De Sade reference. She references Alan Ginsberg, Walt Whitman, several others, and has a degree in philosophy. Our girl's wicked smart except about This Guy...

    Yes, please. More Lana! This is probably my favorite album of hers, and the first one I ever heard as well. But after going through her discography, it is followed very close by Honeymoon and then Ultraviolence, then her debut album Born to Die, then the attached EP Born to Die: Paradise, then Blue Bannisters, Lust for Life, and finally, Chemtrails Over the Country Club. I don't think I have heard a song from her that I dislike. The only artist I like more than her is my all time favorite, Pink Floyd. But she is absolutely amazing!!! So again, more Lana PLEASE!!! Start from the beginning, so you can see her progression as an artist. And her music videos, especially earlier in her career, are absolutely must see items. Especially Tropico.

    Hey, please start from the beginning with your album reactions to Lana, because you'll be able to see how her music and lyrics grow. Thus react to Born to Die album next please

    YEASSSSSSS NFR
    I love how you’re moving along the witch music spectrum lol.
    First Azealia Banks and now Lana Del Rey, and on her most praised album! 💓
    I hate to tell you what to do buttttt…
    You should DEFINITELY listen to Born To Die: Paradise Edition, Young and Beautiful, and Ultraviolence. These are essentials and they’re the pinnacle of her original sound, enchanting melodies and transformative lyrics. :)

    • @elvideoentertainment
      @elvideoentertainment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lana is brujeria too? Lol the more you know. I appreciate knowing which edition to do, cause some of her albums has multiple iterations that makes it difficult to choose which one to listen to

    • @LanaDelTaco1372
      @LanaDelTaco1372 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@elvideoentertainment she’s definitely a bruja hehe. And it’s funny because A.B. and Lana had beef with each other. Lana also attempted to hex trump lol. But yes, BTD paradise edition (special version) has 24 songs total.
      Ultraviolence is somewhat of her sophomore album with some iconic songs in there, most of them apparently recorded with live instruments in a concert hall.
      Besides that I usually skip Honeymoon and Lust For Life and then pick back up at NFR, but that’s just me, you do as you choose!

    You should listen to the demo version of The Next Best American Record! There is quite a significant amount of change in the lyrics, one of them being, “You did it all for fame.”

    The whole point was to make you cry 😮‍💨. For me Lana is one of the last true artists, she writes, been faithful to her style and doesn’t even promote her albums, I mean she’s just still here for her fans and the quality of her deliveries, not because the industry tell us to listen to her ❤️

    • @Goldun-nah
      @Goldun-nah 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And she’s still MASSIVELY popular. Except nobody I know listens to her besides her first album and that’s because back then I forced them to listen to it lol

    lol I assume you're gonna loose your mind when reaction to the born to die album 🤣🤣 because NFR is a mature Lana, a very classy Lana. you already started Lana with her most mature album. but the older albums, oh boy, she's a MESS in them (in a good way!!) she's not that mature, she's more like "ok I'm gonna kill myself now" "daddy please love me" "fuck this I'm beautiful and rich" "yeah I'm a mess" you know like more immature and young (and it's GREAT) you need to do them chronologically to see her growth. but I assure you, the lyrics have always been great. she's a poet. but it's very different lol you're gonna be like: Lana?? did you just said that?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    I hate the you cut off the instrumentals sometimes. Especially on cinnamon girl. That ending is so majestic and beautiful… just when you think it’s over it pulls back with a chill trap vybe and ends with the piano chords so beautifully.

  • @1234willali
    @1234willali 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If u find this album too slow for u don’t even bother with Honeymoon lol.
    And note tone of her voice. It changes a lot on her songs. Songs with low notes and with high notes …. Subtle and yet sounds all the same lol

    start from the first album.

  • @plamenasiniye
    @plamenasiniye 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I'd suggest you start from Born to Die - as although it's iconic in its own way, it's her weakest work - and then work your way up from there. I'd say NFR is her best album, but the quality of her work does improve with each album. Lust for Life is definitely her most feature-heavy album and has some very strong collaborations.

    • @elvideoentertainment
      @elvideoentertainment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    • @abcdeqwerty1047

      Born to die is so special, I have to disagree. Definitely not the weakest or weak at all

    • @Matthew-ij3zm
      @Matthew-ij3zm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lmao Lust for Life is shit compared to Born to Die, and I thought this was a consensus among the fans considering how much of a hit and iconic Born to Die is, while Lust for Life is barely remembered.

    • @plamenasiniye
      @plamenasiniye 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Matthew-ij3zm I guess you didn't catch that I called BTD iconic, but all nostalgia and bias aside, it's not a great album. It's lyrically and thematically very repetitive. Also, I'm not personally a fan of LFL - it's probably my least favourite Lana album - because I don't think collabs are really Lana's strong suit. But it still has some gems I really like, such as Cherry, White Mustang, Tomorrow Never Came etc.

    • @plamenasiniye
      @plamenasiniye 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@abcdeqwerty1047 I did call it iconic, lol, but ignoring all the nostalgia I and a lot of other listeners of Lana have for it, it's not a great album. I still prefer it over Lust for Life and the two albums she released after NFR.
