This literally feels an event for the real veterans that didn't participate in an event or ones that almost completed a set, but didn't for reasons unknown. I like this approach, but it does feel that Midoki is attempting to squeeze gems from the collectors. It is predatory, but tbh, i don't mind this type. You kind of save some bit of money by just being patient. Like waiting until your favorite item goes on sale.
