Whoa, I've never thought this would get this much views! Thank you very much, guys!
Sorry for the late update, I am still working on my final project for my college. I thought I could do the next video in January (but I was wrong lol). I hope I can upload the next video in the near future
TH-cam recommended this to me and, oh boy, I'm glad it did. Visually pleasing slideshow, and nice conlang work.
Thank you very much, I will try to improve the video quality for the next video(s) 😁
Oh man this is high quality
Thank you very much! :)
@@Budkalon You're welcome
SUBTITLE ADDED!
I just realized that there are so many errors in the spelling and grammar when I did the subtitle for this, I think I will try using a full-scripted narration next time 😅
Learning a new language is hard, especially English. I could understand everything you said though. This was quite a stellar video, visually and content-wise. Please make more of these!
Boy, what a time to be alive! So many conlang showcases popping up lately, it seems like a perpetuous Christmas morning!
Katya'u is one of the most interesting conlangs I've seen so far, maybe because it's rich but understandable to a newbie like me. Please, keep your work up. I'll be looking forward to see more of your world, not only the languages.
thank you so much! I still have some things to do first, but I'll start to do another video immediately :)
300 views? This deserves 300,000! It's actually awesome. Extremely high quality, very well thought-out and so very interesting! Instant subscribe.
Thank you very much :D
There are many things that need to be improved before I can reach that, I think, but I will try to improve it 😁
And now its 3000
297,000 to go!
I'll be keeping an eye out for more videos from you. Best of luck to you!
Thank you! I hope I can make a new videos as soon as possible :)
Great writing system. Bravo
Thank you very much! 😁😁😁
Essentially rongo rongo based obviously. ☺
Autosubscribe, Bang, akhirnya ada perwakilan Nusantara di conlang :'v
Mantep, Bang!
Weh makasih banyak!
Iya nih, jarang banget pembasareka dari Nusantara, UwU UwU
This is one of the greatest Conlang Showcases I have ever seen. It's sad how much work us nerds put into worlds, and yet it's impossible for other nerds to appreciate every single fact that us worldbuilders put into them.
Thank you for your appreciation!
I also hope that everybody could understand just how much ppl spent to do a worldbuilding project
omg just a few seconds in and i hear AUSTRONESIAN 👀👀 love u for that x
Glad you like it! There's new Austronesian-based conlang video I uploaded just a day ago!
You're language is so beautiful (your showcase was also so well explained and aesthetically pleasing)! I loved it! Congratulations!
Thank you so much!!
Really pleased to see someone make a conlang that isn't again based on the phonaesthetics of Finnish or Ancient Greek.
lol 😂
thank
"Be happy, for the moon..." dOnt TeLl mE wHaT tO Do!
LOL That was actually what the late Katyaghaya people said to the priests
26:41 That second image sort-of resembles the Tower of Babel, and that cataclysm was essentially a Tower-of-Babel-type event. So yeah.
Budkalon: "Hey, can I copy your homework?"
Bible: "Yes, just change it so that it doesn't look like you copied."
The image actually a minimalistic style of this picture: imgur.com/gallery/eVhHsz6
And the story was heavily inspired by Sundanese legend of Situ Bagendit. But yea, I think Babel-esque event are a common thing in the world
Wow, this is interesting. Great presentation too; very high quality.
The only thing I would suggest improving is narration. I don't mind your accent, but I think some parts sound muddy and hard to distinguish.
Other than that, great job! Looking forward to seeing your next one.
Thank you very much!
I just made a bullet points, and filled the blank, but it ended up so messy I spent 2/3 editing time just to cut the mumble LoL
I think I'll use a full script next time 😁
@@Budkalon Experiment until you find your comfortable spot.
Holding out for new stuff
Right off the bat, I really love the sound of this conlang! It almost sounds like some sort of Native American language.
The editing was great, and I love the tense system!
Thank you so much for the appreciation!
When I read kutya’u and budkalon Idk why but these felt like austronesian (I speak 2 austronesian languages)
I feel the same way. The phonology, the reduplication, the first person pronoun aku very similar to Tagalog
It (kinda) is!
I made this by reverse-evolving one of my conlang which is based on Proto-Austronesian, so... Yes 😁
I love it! I'm looking forward watching your future videos.
Thank you very much, I too hope I can do my next video in a near future after I finished my final project
Very high quality work in every way. Well done! I love the sound and structure of the language. Your worldbuilding and script are very good! I am looking forward to learning more about Katya in the future.
Thank you! I am planning to do the descendants language, so there's might be more
I clicked because Katya'u could be read as Lightning McQueen's "kachow" in my native language. Very nice.
In its daughter language, the word Katya'u really was evolved into "kacow" tho 👀👀👀
This is absolutely beautiful
thank you very much!
This is incredible! I'd love to see more of your conlangs and conworld!
Thank you very much!
I am still making the asset for next video, but I think it will not be finished in a short time since I'm on my final year of college. But, I will always try to do some progress
Just found this video, love the presentation and the language great work! My sign to start conlanging again lol
Awesome! The art is so so good
Thank you so much!
This is so creative and well made ºoº i love it, congrats
Thank you so much!
Woah this is really cool
Nice job!
Thank you very much! 😁
Your art style is fascinating! Love it so much
Thank you so much 😀
Please make more, or just showcase others you’ve made. This is wonderful! Your voice is excellent.
Thank you, I will!
I had just uploaded my new video recently
Hey, that's pretty gooood
Whoa, thanks! I have been following your channel on my main account for a long time, it's a honor 😁
Oh hey that's awesome! Definitely good stuff here.
Ay, dope work stranger; sounds and looks wonderfully pleasant :D
Thank you very much!
love it! very beautiful language and inspiring conlanging and world building!
Glad you enjoyed it!
this is a really really incredible video Budkalon!! rlly awesome conlang & awesome showcase !!! :))
thanks and you're welcome :)
amazing vid and conlang, well done
Much appreciated!
and i keep coming back to it :p
This is so beautiful!! What programs did you use to make it?
I used ms PowerPoint to format the slide, and then exported it to Adobe After effect for composting
This is still blowing up dude you did an amazing job
Thanks 😁
@@Budkalon like 3.6k views for your only vid is very good way better than my vids
This is gorgeous! The phonaesthetic, the grammar, the art of the world, the graphic design of the video... I even like how you named the segments of the video, quite elegant. I think my favorite part was how the Katya'u progressive aspect was derived from Proto-Katya'u plural nouns, my mouth kinda dropped open then. I know about verbs using the distributive aspect to express plurality for nouns, but this uses noun plurality to express an aspect, so it's kinda the other way around, in my mind? I loved it. Thank you for sharing your art, and I'd love to see more about it.
Thank you very much!
I actually got inspired from my native language, Sundanese, for the plural, because we can use the plural marker on both noun and verb to indicate either intensive, plurality, or both!
damn bud, all the best for you!! semangat!!!
Terimaha kasih wahai nona Jess UwU
Woaah, mantap banget Bud, animasinya juga mantap! Semangat! Keep up the good work!
Tuhangkuso banyak nona Audrey :DDDD
This is art! How can we find out more about your language and conworld?
Thank you!
I usually make a showcase image here and there on my social media, but all of them are mixed with my other contents, sadly
Really well done
Thanks 😊
You put a lot of work in it, also I liked the explanation of verbs ,the hyroglyps and the short lore of a catastrophy hitting your creatures, ending the great empire, but kept language remaining. Was it a meteor strike?
I also work on languages, for the moast romlangs (my favourites Daoqiänghage and Geldermansch) , a germanic language (tedesco/teisce) and 2 isolates (hadraan, and mai). Daoqiänghage has somewhat a concept culture around it.
But still work in process.
Thank you! It is still kept secret for a future narrative purpose, but no, it's not a meteor strike :)
That's great! I also working parallel to make a romlang based on Latin~~France called Egom, but the result was not really good enough for my early-concept. I think it's because I don't have a good basic for Romance(?) Language. So, if tou have a link for your works, I think I'll do really love it!
very beautiful art
extremely imaginative and thorough conlanging and worldbuilding
also ur accent is cute
Wow, thank you! 😂
Very cool conlang and arts!
By the way I think you can slightly improve your audio quality by making your voice mono.
Thank you! I will surely try that
i love conlanging
Keep it up! ^_^
Thank you very very much UwU
This is so good - I really like the way the language sounds, and the worlbuilding. The symbols are also really amazing, are they part of the script? Or are they just iconography and traditional patterns?
Thank you for your appreciation :)
Those are patterns that appears in the Pakungu tree, so they use it as their main religious pattern
@@Budkalon ah that's really cool - I'm also working on a conculture closely tied to trees! The proto-script also really reminds me of rongorong - was that an inspiration?
@@Ursa-hp7fp That's cool! I saw that con-culture with a tied to trees can be explored with big amount of creativity
and yes! I got inspiration from Rongorongo since:
-Not many people had used it
-it matches with the culture I need
-it is found on the place where the Austronesian-descendants lived
I really like the language and word building what materials did you use?
Materials like in the source material...?
I use some journals and wikipedia pages about Austronesian cultures and languages, I also got many comments from some conlanging forums
I dig that Jackbox fibbage artstyle you’ve got going on there
Do you have to do Alevel Chem in school to take the Chem major?
Hebat banget mas, bikinnya bertahun-tahun
Paling suka aksaranya, ngingetin aku sama aksara Maya
Wah makasih banyak! Ini sebenernya make basis aksara Rongorongo-nya Rapa Nui, karena kebetulan aksaranya juga berasal dari bangsa Austronesia 😁
I also am making conlangs. Who else is making? This is nice video.
200th like 🙂
It's so... Surreal..........
Hello ^^
Just to say that the voiced plosives can't be aspirated in an human language. The equivalent would "murmured" which look like that /bʱ/, /dʱ/ & /gʱ/.
However I'm just awed by your writing system and how you can give an explanation for every mood and word you had created
Big bravo to you ^^
Thank you very much for the information! I just read the Wikipedia page after I read your comment. I still need to learn more about it, I'll incorporate it into my next video (because I still have dh 👀)
ke sini dari reddit. cakep banget pak, rapi 👏
btw anak desain kah? desain dan gambar2annya juga keren 😁
Terimakasih banyak UwU
Iyes, kebetulan seneng desain dan ilustrasi 😁
@@Budkalon baru aja habis ngepoin medsos2nya wkwk
keren banget pak, saya suka sama semua jenis karyanya wkwk jadi penasaran sama spesies2 dan budaya2 bangsa lainnya di Banua 👏👏
anw kalo boleh tau belajar yang tentang peta kaya iklim dllnya dari mana aja? saya pemula baru nyoba2 worldbuilding juga nih, baru nonton artifexian cukupkah (buat yg bikin peta)? thanks🙏
Untuk peta, saya dasarnya memakai Geoff's cookbook (www[.]cartographersguild[.]com/showthread.php?t=27118), kemudian saya kembangkan sendiri dengan mencari tahu dokumen dan materi spesifik mengenai tiap-tiap langkahnya
@@Budkalon terima kasih 🙏
@@watmainibaadman sama-sama UwU
great video! What's your native language?
thanks! it is Sundanese 😁
This was really good I would love if you continued with the language
Thank you so much! I am still doing some recordings and illustrations for the next video, I hope I can upload it soon 😁
@@Budkalon ok I'm waiting
Bud kok keren??????❤️
Mu... Muhakasih UwU
If the schwa has a rounded allophone, wouldnt it make sense to write it with an "O"?
as in: ⟨o⟩ = /ə~ʊ/
I think it is... I wrote it that way because I didn't understand some basic things about linguistics back then (I think I still am)
But thank you!
@@Budkalon
My suggestion was less a linguistic one and more an aesthetic one, both transcriptions are fine
Your conlang somehow remind me to some Taiwanese Aborigine languages news from Titv channel
Good catch! This is a reversed-evolution of an Austronesian-based conlang, so It will resemblance some of it 😁
Why do so many conlangers put this music to the background?
Personally... It's because it's free 👀👀👀
@@Budkalon There are so many free songs yet so many of conlangers choose this one xD
never trust /u/...
Never trust vowel chart map 😔☝
