I just bought one of these recently from a ham friend and I love this amp. It loafs at legal limit with no effort. I noticed your filament voltage is a bit high on your amp. This will shorten tube life unless you change the tap on the primary of the power transformer to a higher voltage to lower the filament. It should not exceed 9v.
Hello ... in the video you say that you drive the amplifier with an Icom 7410 ... can you tell me how you configure your RIG ... I'm looking for TX delay in IC 7410 menu but not found it ... Help would be appreciate ... TNX ON7ER
Somehow I missed this question. The hum sounds worse on the video for some reason. It does hum a bit but I have never had an issue with the amp. It just loafs along all day long doing it's thing.
@@helismash1 It's pretty obvious on the video & should NOT be there! I would be asking the folks at OM to listen to the video & give you a heads up about what is going on.
Just to let you know... I did get one of these OM-2000+ amps and man it is sweet! Not much drive to get a LOT out! Unfortunately mine ended up having a bad tube and that did more damage... But the people at Array Solutions treaded me right, Great people and I'm thankful for them...

What's that hum your getting when your transmitting? You get that all the time and are you getting that on the air? That can't be good...
