It seems you Osaka guys have such nice personalities. Years ago, I had a language exchange partner who was studying for his third Ph.D. in NYC (got his other two doctorates from Keio U). He also taught for a while in Brooklyn College. He's now an Associate Professor at the Japan Coast Guard Academy. He was also from Osaka. Even my experience in Osaka was more pleasant than the ones I had in Tokyo. Thanks for this video. I'm sharing it with my son for our upcoming trip to Japan (we have our plane tickets, now the itinerary is what we have to figure out).
Kobe is for sure a nice place to visit, seaside town, .modern architecture, vivid streets but not to crowded even during the weekend, obviously due to hot season. But you Rion, eating ice cream in the sun at 36°C, hat off, your stamina is amazing. The Port Tower is interesting to visit for enjoying the views around the whole city, but even inside there are some stunning contents. The China Town always picturesque, but as you had already your Kobe beef lunch not that inviting. Short train ride back to Osaka overcrowded due to firework we could get some details of, but I do remember your earlier video with Osaka fiirework filmed from the bridge along the riverside which was amazing. Congrets for another interesting summer video. Stay safe and well hydrated. By the way your new permed haircut has been weĺl done by your dad and it suits you fine. We stayed at the Merikan Park Hotel that I see in your video background and took pics at the port! But then we went to Kyoto instead of Osaka so I'll be going to Osaka in 2025 cuz this year we are going to Izu in the fall! Inatori Onsen? Maybe you can go for us? 😂 As always... arigatoo ❤😊

Rion! I was just in Kobe last May. I wondered around Mosaic Mall for 30 minutes, trying to decide where to eat. I ended up eating at that doria restaurant!! I had the limited time only - wagyu beef & sea urchin doria. It’s was delicious!! Great video!!
My Japanese mate and I saw the fireworks from Kaze no hiroba plaza on the 11th floor of Osaka station city(JR Osaka station) as well as last year. cheers
@@RionIshida The fireworks launched behind Westin hotel Osaka and Umeda sky building so ye can't see whole but ye can still see them partially as the fireworks are huge and some of them are launched high enough to see as well. Probably ye can see them from USJ cheers
My wife and I avoided the Osaka fireworks and decided to spend more days in the beautiful seaside Kaikeonsen instead. (We did see the Nagoya Port fireworks but it took an hour to get into the one subway stop when it ended.)
ps the JoJo statue was placed there to replace the The Fountain Boy statue that used to be at the station The original statue is now in a museum to conserve and protect it
