Beautiful, beautiful! The Mass is the most perfect form of prayer. This is very beautiful, and it brings joy to my heart to see the EF in the Pantheon!
Cameron the Pantheon was never a place for Christians. It’s meant to be a temple to the 12 gods of Ancient Rome. It’s also one of the last Roman temples that stand in Rome, so honestly no. It’s horrible that their even allowed there. Can’t there be one historical place that isn’t christianized.
The true worship of Almighty God in the beauty of holiness. O how I love they Law it is meditation day and night. Let my life be poured out for love of You my Jesus
It is quite amazing that this building, the pantheon, has been used continually for worship from 126AD. Albeit, with a much older Roman ritual than the one we see here and to all the old 'gods'.
Really in el chisa santa maria de martyras, the real name of the pantheon, they did, a tridentine mass, I would have loved to see this when I was in rome last year from july 8th to the 22nd of 2008 its a beautiful church and the solid dome that predates christianity by a long time and still surviving proves that they dont build them like they used to lol Do they do missa solumnes there very often?
Very beautiful, but a question, how come there is no processional cross? I've little specific knowledge of the EF, just surprised there was incense but no cross. btw, I'm the Parochial Vicar at Chris's mom's parish in SD.
I know this is an old comment, but a processional cross is required in pontifical Masses; it *may* be used in ordinary Solemn Masses, but there is no obligation.
I love Rome and it’s history, but I find it sad that they allowed the Pantheon to be used as a church. It was a place built for the worship of the 12 Roman Gods, and honestly it’s one of the only last standing places that show these gods. Catholicism is already huge in Rome, can’t there just be this one place where their not there. Honestly it’s one of the only last standing Roman temples in Rome. Ridiculous.
Not ridiculous, it is beautiful, the Catholic Church teaches that it is the one true church. Also I am assuming that Constantine gave it to the Pope as he did with the Lateran Basilica or the Christians ended up taking it. Either way, if you don't like it, file your complaint to the Holy Office, they probably would agree with you, since they are all religious indifferentists mainly.
If it had not been converted into a church it is very likely that it would have been abandoned. Plus when in Rome do as the Romans and the Romans are Catholics
Mmmmmm.....126 CE, built for the worship of all the 'gods' of the Empire.....The clip here shows the liturgy before Vatican II; that liturgy was modeled on the pagan rituals for which the Pantheon was designed......I'm a Catholic priest, too....
mike ravey. You are a brainwashed Novus Ordite. Try reading 'How Christ Said the First Mass.' Every movement and nuance is from the Temple in Jerusalem.
I recognize those habits anywhere. God bless the Norbertines!

There is no replacement for the richness of the mystical rites of the catholic rites and Teachings.
I have nothing against filming the Liturgy, per se; but there a much more respectful ways to do it.
Very beautiful.
As a priest, I'd find it extremely annoying to be followed around by a camera in that way.... It wasn't exactly discrete to say the least

I can't believe they are allowing the tourists to roam around while the High Mass is going on!!!!!! How horrible!!
Did he get permission to film that Mass so up close and personal?
Praise to Jupiter Optimus Maximus!!!!

you are a rather shite lying boomer
That's completely false
The Church is victorious over the Pagans, that's why the Church turned this pagan temple into a Christian house of worship. Praise be Jesus Christ
