      Ah yes! If you haven't seen it yet, I have a separate video about matplotlib shapes: th-cam.com/video/CRMtqTeH2HQ/w-d-xo.html I'm also considering doing another "Data Viz Thought Process" video in the future 😄

    Heya Kim, thank you for this! Quick question: for a bar graph, how do we add '$' and 'separators' as part of the text? - my example is similar to at 10:02

    Kim, thank you for all the great content you've created so far. I find it super useful and your explanation skills makes it so easy to understand. I was wondering if you could show us please how to create & annotate a viz like the one presented at 0:15 in the video? Thank you for your time

      Hi Veronica, thank you very much! You know, I've been considering making some videos on how I create my data visualizations (start to finish) for a while now. Maybe I can make a video about this visual specifically. But for now, that visual is from my blog post about the Gini coefficient. The code for that one is available in line 11 here (github.com/kimfetti/Blog/blob/master/gini_coefficient.ipynb) if you want to check it out!

      @@KimberlyFessel Working as a data professional, my life revolves around creating good vizs, make them easy to understand while cutting out all the unnecessary noise. Having you sharing your storytelling methods and how to get your point across through data would be a blessing indeed. I am eager to see your work and learn from it.
      Also, million thanks for sharing the GitHub link with me, I will definitely check it out.

    Hi Kimberly, thanks for these great viz tutorials. Do you have any plans to cover ggplot in R?

    • @KimberlyFessel
      @KimberlyFessel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, interesting! I actually hadn't thought about venturing into R--but that's a good suggestion. I haven't used R for several years, but I do remember ggplot was pretty boss. I'll consider it!

    I'm looking to change the font style to Calisto MT for the whole plot, so it matches my thesis font style. Is there a video you could recommend?

    • @KimberlyFessel
      @KimberlyFessel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any time you want to make adjustments to all of your figures, I would recommend updating your rcParams. I have been considering making a video about those but haven't made it yet. For now, something like this should do the trick for you: matplotlib.org/3.1.0/gallery/text_labels_and_annotations/font_family_rc_sgskip.html
