I know totally agree, I’m a Gen X or and I feel like Alex Boone is the next generation Madden. he explains the game from the pivotal point of view of the trenches. The only other person I ever heard talk about it like that was John Madden back in his day.
I'm thinking now when Darnold had that rough patch passing several games ago, it might have been from that injury to his throwing pinkie. His leads are getting so precise now, he's putting it right on target to guys crossing at full speed. That is so damn hard to do, but Sam is making it look easy. Rhino is my cowbell. Can't get enough.
In my humble opinion I think Sam Darnold is playing like the best QB in the NFC North. How would you guys rank them this season? Sam, Goff, Love, Caleb?
Lol. Edit: SillkeepOnLosing is who the comment was directed to. My bad lol This guy is complementing Sam Darnold and you think he's being a simp or a fake? Anyways, everyone you listed are good QBs! Unfortunately for Caleb he went to an organization that kills QBs. Love is getting there! He has a solid back to help him too! Jacob's is a stud! Goff.. Man he is great against blitzes. I've been watching all NFC North games. And it's wild how good Goff is at getting away from a sack! Overall the NFC North is the best division! The Bears unfortunately have incompetent leaders, so incompetent they managed to kill many great players careers. I'm a Vikings Fan. But I respect quality players. I love NFL in general! Anyways Skol!
My issue with the Darnold issue........yes.........KOC can get the most out of any QB...........but the skills and level of play we're seeing from Darnold is............ELITE........and now........KOC can't make any QB elite. So what we're finding out is that Darnolds ceiling is REALLY HIGH. We're also seeing a clutch factor.....and no matter what KOC does........you can't coach clutch.
To be clear, Hokenson was gone most of the year, Addison was hurt for a couple, and from all reports, coaches wanted Darnold to throw to a covered Jefferson because Kirk was too skittish to trust that he'd make a play regardless.
24:50 you can see the guy on the end looking into toward the ball. It’s almost like a towel that he’s getting ready to slide in and come up the middle.
What I noticed in reviewing this last game was how much Sam was misdirecting the DBs with his eyes. Earlier in the season he was telegraphing his true target. I love Sam hunting, but it was only a week earlier against AZ where it led to FGs until the 4th. There were multiple 3rd downs where he had Addison open short to convert and keep the drive alive. Instead he held out until it was too late took a sack or threw it away.
Hard to believe we went from a QB we couldn’t wait to get rid of… to quite honestly, possibly the toughest QB decision we may have to ever make as a franchise.
We did send Fran Tarkenton away because of a coaching disagreement... just saying... LONG TERM VIAIBILTY is the end goal of this establishment, along with winning the ultimate prize but as we all know as fans, that's A LOT HARDER than it looks! SKOL!
@ can’t disagree with any of that. What a wonderfully difficult position to be in. The organization is in such a great place from too top to bottom, I trust them to make the right decision. First season I’ve felt like that I can remember.
@ The reason is because KOC identified JJM as the one he can be most successful with. The same coach who made Cousins actually effective and brought Darnold’s career back to life. But most of all, please do seek Jesus. Hell is not a place you want to end up, or anyone for that matter. God bless!
14:07……THANK you….and I personally feel like his mobility and chances to be mobile (even with us there is many times I was asking myself, why didn’t he just run and take those four yards after watching film) have been overrated for some time now….to be earring up contract like that and you can’t really move which you HAVE to do in todays league is…..something 😬😬
Boonie's saying what we have been thinking for some time. Our air attack will not be enough in the playoffs. Our IOL will prevent us from a deep run, and it's (been) time to fix it.
I’ll keep saying it till it dies. These episodes breaking down the film are the best vids out.
I know totally agree, I’m a Gen X or and I feel like Alex Boone is the next generation Madden. he explains the game from the pivotal point of view of the trenches. The only other person I ever heard talk about it like that was John Madden back in his day.
Phil called that JJ would score two touchdowns. You were correct sir!
Darnold is getting more comfortable in the offense and it’s showing.
The film breakdowns are the best.

If Sam Darnold isn't in the pro bowl. We riot
Sammy D will be prepping for a big game Pro Bowl week
He won’t be. He will be getting ready for the SB
okay Alex Boone is my favorite now
I can't wait to see what KOC Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and Hockenson can do with JJ McCarthy.
Nothing
@@mauricedavis2679why do you think that? 😂
Just watch the games. We might all be dead in a year, and Darnold is playing elite ball.
They better do nothing together. Extend darnold trade McCarthy
I think Ward is the guy who said he didn’t know who Rodgers is last year. The don’t “poke the bear” moment from hard knocks.
These are my favorite episodes… love the film breakdown because some of these are things I would never notice in real time as a dumb fan ❤
Sam should be in MVP conversation with each week passing by. He is becoming more confident and it’s a really good sign.

He coached clutch with Kirk in 2022.

The term “Piss Missile” can’t be used enough for Sam’s throws..
Love these episodes.
My favorite things about Sam Darnold: he's thick, trunky, he's a coastal kid with a mid west ethos!
The biggest thing that changed with Darnold is he has stopped forcing the ball to Jefferson and began trusting his other options.
To be clear, Hokenson was gone most of the year, Addison was hurt for a couple, and from all reports, coaches wanted Darnold to throw to a covered Jefferson because Kirk was too skittish to trust that he'd make a play regardless.
I could listen to booney speak all day long
#1 Defense in the NFL in my opinion
Not crazy about the run defense the last two weeks though.
Turnovers will absolutely kill us in the playoffs....we have the talent to win it all.🎉
The cowboys and falcons have set the new standard for stupidity in salary negotiations for qbs.
The Cowboys are so screwed. They still need to pay Parsons.
Add the Giants.

Amen to that!
Of course we “can” win a Super Bowl, especially if we aren’t turning the ball over. They already proved they can hang with Detroit
@jaredpribyl - Detroit is struggling a bit and have a tough schedule. How do they beat the Bills with that D?
@ Bills are gonna win
Remember when we had 3 guys Reed moss Carter oh yeah Steve Jordan Robert Smith oh quandary Ismail
