Colourpop could never compare honestly. I'm not a huge fan...their shadows definitely feel cheap.
Making palettes with singles videos are some of my favorite kinds of videos--especially when you include the process of choosing shades! I love hearing why one shade is not quite right and another is better.

I think Colourpop did perfectly for what they offer and that it was based on the first movie, not the books or other movies (or vampires in general). I didn't understand the demand for red. It wasn't a big thing in the movie. I hope they do the remaining movies, that would be fun. I'm looking forward to your video. Multichromes make everything better lol!
Maybe because the books are red? The apple on the first cover? The New Moon flower, the Eclipse ribbon, the Breaking Dawning chesspiece, etc? Even the Volturi's theme is red, Bella's always blushing in the books, the vampires eyes are red, Bella's truck as well as Jacob's Volkswagen Rabbit are red. So much of what makes up Twilight is the color red. To true Twilight fans the pallete just felt incomplete
@leahscontemporary I am a true Twilight fan. It's based on the first movie, not the book, not the other movies. Yes Bellas truck was a red, apples are red, but the bulk of the movie was shot with the filter, the northwest is gloomy. For Being based on the first movie alone, I think it's great. A red wouldn't really fit the rest of the palette. And it sold out fast, so seems a lot of people liked it. I'm excited to get mine. I haven't been a Twihard in years lol, but it's nostalgic.
@shannalynn8080 I get you. But I think they should've called it The Catherine Hardwicke Filter pallete or The Forks pallete instead and save everyone the confusion
@leahscontemporary Yeah, I think people heard 'Twilight' and assumed it would be a more vampire-like palette which is where the let down came in. I totally get it. And honestly the books were waaaayyyy better than the movies LOL and would've called for a bit more color. I hope they do all 4 (5 movies). Then we should see more color as it goes. The 2nd one was more about the wolves entering the scene, but the 3rd and last one definitely would lean more typical vampire. It'll be cool to see what they come up with.

I was able to grab the palette and the highlight I was interested in too. I’m so excited for a twilight collab and I’m hoping someone will do the vampire diaries at some point! I love your custom palette and I can’t wait for the video on the CP palette.
Watching at work 👀🖤 Devinah patrina is one of my all time fav dark mattes. It works with SO many tones to deepen since it's a mix between purple, grey, brown! It's an invaluable shade to have for byop!
I love your version! I was inspired to do my own using the Sydney Grace Temptalia collection and SG In Mel’s Memory bundle. I don’t have a lot of singles.
Many of hers aren't really singles either. She just pulls them from palettes. I don't like to pull out my shadows though, but I bet I could almost dupe it if I tried.

I like the Twilight palette colour story but I am too spoilt by indie shadow quality to use colourpop anymore
Exactly my point. I looked at the pallette. I noted no multichromes and no red - meh I can use my existing palettes to inspire some looks but definitely not purchase. I hoped for a deep red shimmer kinda like the odens eyes one to try to create that red vampire eyes without using contacts - that would definitely make me get the palette. Pity

Thk u for doing this! I think it sold out on CP but it also launched in ulta. I love this color story but I actually owned & decluttered 3 of my CP palettes. I do not enjoy their formula. Love your version so much more!!

This was brilliant, I didn’t get the collection (not that I would’ve had the chance 😂) because I try not to buy anything that has polyethylene terephthalate which is plastic glitter basically for eco-friendly reasons. I know they are realms apart but for some reason my Shroud Cosmetics Arcana palette kind of gives me the same vibe as this Twilight palette if I cover the reds and gold?
