😮
Everyone seems to forget that this AMAZING SNES arrangement breathed life into this track and made people sit up and listen.
It’s so awesome listening to the original song made in 1990
Dang Mario Kart, you didn't have to go so damn hard. Sheesh!
F-Zero 99 got me on my Big Blue Arc again
been on my f zero arc for years
In my 22 years of living on this planet, this track always gets me so super hype on the MK8 track or when playing F Zero on Switch.
Big Blue >>> Mute City
Truer words were never spoken
World breaking Cover of Big Blue GX is my favorite one!! is a heavier higher quality from the one in F-Zero X and pure energy pumping while playing Ordeal. Only Mario Kart 8 gets to rival it.
the cover from GX sounds like you're in heaven what a banger
Or you're getting tailed by blood chain
Ngl they all pretty good. Nintendo game music, amirite?
Melee's and Ultimate's used to be my favorites but GP Legend's just makes me feel some kind of way..
GP is awesome. I have to agree. Places second on favorite on this list. F zero gx cover of Big Blue is 1st for me.
The climax version is really hype, love what the GBA could do with enough care
Missing the Nintendo land version.
Easy to miss tho
@franciscofreeland-gonzalez1991
Really? Its pretty distinct to the others
Do not play this track while driving.
The difference of sound quality between F-Zero X and the Smash Brothers Melee Big Blue Theme, *OH BOI*
From the N64 *BOOST POWAH'd* kinda crappy sound quality to absolute crystal clear Gamecube sound quality.
Also the nostalgia feelings that not only hit you in the face, but tear out your soul, playing it like a Banjo. And you, sit there, just loving the moment. I mean, i experienced it all, being born in 1992. The good old 90s were fucking lit in terms of Games.
GX though
GX cover, mk8 and melee are without doubt the best ones
GX cover is the best for me.
GX cover is my favorite. Mario Kart 8 is a close second.
23:38 that final lap goes rock hard
Shame how MARIO KART did it better its home franchise :(
F zero X and Mario kart 8 my favorite versions
for me its probably the original and mario kart 8
the gx version is good also also now that im listening to the mario kart version it sounds real ugly with the sax and instead of high speeds i can only think of old man drivin an old ass car that goes 5 miles an hour even sonic music is more upbeat
Agreed
@@twilight7721 exact same two for me.
so did the mario kart band just create the final lap version?
yes it was completely original
GX is my favourite
Doesn't narrow it down a lot 😂
For me its Fzerox and GX cover
Hey thanks for posting this. I wonder why they had a different version of big blue in f-zero gx and then do the original.
Cover of Big Blue is an unlockable alternate track
Cover of Big Blue is an unlockable alternate track
@Doctah Wahwee Hey, Infinite Blue still slaps
@Doctah Wahwee infinite blue is great I am glad they made a new theme for big blue.
@doctahwahwee2237Infinite Blue is cool. Sega gave us a bunch of renditions of the theme that are solid in their own ways.
1) Infinite Blue
2) Cover of Big Blue
3) Night of Big Blue (Chapter 4 of GX, unused variant for AX, and the variant used for the trailers)
4) Arrange of Big Blue in the OST
F Zero X version 🔥
YESSS!!!
SHOW ME YOUR MOVES
YEEEEEAAAH
THE FINAL LAPP
My ranking:
MK8 Final Lap
Melee
FZero GX
FZero X
MK8
GBA
SNES
Everything else
I love Infinite Blue from GX, but nothing beats Mario Kart 8’s theme. It’s too good.
Agree
Honestly, my favorite is from F Zero x, but MK8 is second
Disagree, MK8 sounds too tame
@@ok-cr3yd I agree
Melee is better
melee is too good
W+nostalgia
@@masri3144 W
L opinion tbh mario kart 8 and X are infinitely better
Ashita no Joe and F-Zero fan too?
modern game designers don't understand that too much can indeed be a bad thing. the original motif was missing exactly nothing. just put some higher quality synths. when adding new sounds or features, developers should ask themselves: what purpose does it serve? can't come up with an answer? don't add it then. compared to the original SNES version, smash ultimates version sounds AI generated.
Everyone is mentioning how good the console f zero games & mario kart 8 are amazing but i really love the climax version
Climax BB and Mute City are in the Anime and it's fucking amazing
What about the ones from Nintendo Land?
Como amo el tema de big blue me gustan casi todas las versiones
La clásica del primer juego es muy bonito el tema de Big blue junto con el x
Good !
13:10 best one
you forgot the uber badass unused version..
meaning? The AX version of night of big blue?
GREAT VIDEO [pog]
It’s missing the Fzero AX big blue version.
Para mi es mejor el de smash bros melee
Gonna say something controversial here...
I think the Smash, and GX versions of Big Blue are no where near as good as the original, and X.
Mario Kart 8 is the only version that retains the feel of those first 2 games so I love it too.
Despite my nostalgia being massive for GX (and having little for the SNES and zero for X) I think I have to agree.
Love the storymode covers though.
Fax bro
I couldn't agree with you more
lol
Of course. Part of the charm of SNES and NES soundtracks is that they were heavily influenced by jazz fusion, so the melodic passages seem more like a continuation of a single motif instead of switching the phrases between different instruments. Not to mention the limitation in audio channels, forcing them to work within those limits to compose interesting melodies with limited resources. You can definitely tell the difference between SNES and N64 versions, where they tried to push the "extreme metal vibes" by using hair metal guitar tones, going completely nuts with the pitch bends over calculated slides, and slightly changing the rhythm to give a more "guitarish" rock sound. Don't get me wrong, if I hadn't heard SNES Big Blue first, I would think the newer versions are fucking awesome. But keeping in mind the history and limitations of the hardware, I'm much more impressed by what the composers originally came up with.
Also they're saturated in reverb, heavily distorted, etc. Kind of takes away from the genius of the melody and harmonization IMHO.
decide in the eyes
Crazy call at cry
The long distance of how long this joke will be milked until murder
Devil's call in my shitty joke
Down to the scream of a dead joke
New sub
a melhor big BLUE é a do fzero x do Nintendo 64
先輩!?何してんすか
CAPTAIN FALCON!!!
The GX versions used to be my favorite, but adding the sax solo to the Mario Kart 8 versions was jsut *chefs kiss*.
Fun fact: Mario Kart 8's soundtrack had alot of input from the Japanese band "Dimension" which had a large amount of its members working on Mario Kart 8's sound team during development.
Go check Dimension (I would recommend Seventh Dimension as an introduction if you want to know more about their albums) out if you want to; you might like their style.
Original Is Always My Favoruite
Best is either original or Mario Kart.
Or SSBU
GX
nah F-Zero X is the best one 🔥
Ur so underrated. You deserve a sub!
It's missing the best version :(
Which is?
F-zero GX Cover of big blue wayyyy better than others in my opinion
It does feel strange to ascend whilst getting fucked up by ordeal
Big Blue F Zero X. Perfect race song
F zero x sounds smash melee
Classic 1990
YES!
F-Zero GX/AX has the best music in all of racing video games, period. SEGA and Amusement Vision knocked it out the park with this game developed on a Super Monkey Ball engine. The game is simply the best arcade game of all time. Too bad it was so mistreated.
Also, you missed Night of the Big Blue from F-Zero AX (and the F-Zero GX/AX trailer on The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest's Bonus Disc).
I prefer Mariokart 8 Deluxe and Sonic and AllStars Racing Transformed, but I now see the hype.
I need a GameCube 🥺
@@batmanbud2 No you don't. You need a Wii. They're much cheaper and are commonplace and will not only occupy less space, be less noisy, generate less heat, and also play a vast majority of Wii games as well, but will also provide you with access to a huge homebrew community where you can play all other consoles, such as the N64 and older consoles, whereas the Gamecube doesn't have the RAM or the power to run them.
No matter the sophistication of the sounds, the original is the best, the rest are just remixes that only do the job of making it worse, like cover versions of songs that 99.9% of the time do the same.
Nothing beats the original
Mario Kart 8 is the worst one
That is, indeed, an opinion
La versión de F-Zero Climax es lo máximo. La mejor, por mucho
SNES, X, Melee, Infinite Blue, and Night of Big Blue for me (the Melee version if I had to choose). MK8's decent too, but I prefer the others more.
This video is missing Japon from 64DD (completely different song, but it does play on Big Blue 3: Japan), the Arrange Version from GX's CD OST that can only be heard there (as it's not in the game), the unused AX and used Trailer renditions of Night of Big Blue (as we only have GX's version in this video), and Nintendo Land's rendition.
from 20:51 on the versions just suck
They literally did everything wrong they could do with GX, right? No wonder the franchise is dead.
The exact opposite. The franchise was on a hiatus because F-Zero GX was a masterpiece and nothing can top it, the best arcade racing game of all time.
Nah, it's more of the anime reboot side of things that put the franchise on hiatus. The anime didn't do well in ratings in the US (I'm unsure of Japan ratings, but it did get 51 episodes), and the anime tie-in games sold poorly. Since Climax only sold somewhere between 5k and 22k units total (while GP Legend sold ~160k, which is also embarrassing), Nintendo pulled the plug on the series until 99.
@@theonewhowrotethis5681I thought it was dead because Mariokart (same for Kirby Air Ride).
F zero x version could have been on the Top Gun ost. 👌🏼
