honestly, all you guys really need to learn is the parrying mechanic, once you get it down this game becomes hella easy. Also when fighting monsters, all of them have a pattern (some attacks can be parried, others cannot so you have to dodge them) its best to try and learn these patterns of each monster. Fun little tip also, you progress WAY faster in the depths, so if you can try and get the Deepbound Origin

I see that a commom reason of death for beginners is they run from bandits and fighting back when they are too low from getting hit

ill give a tip for you the pattern for sharko is if he swings 2 time press f 2 time after that hit 3 or 2 times and parry his 1 swing and hit dodge his kick

while playing your stats will matter a lot for example there are oaths thats are kinda like sub classes that give special abilities to the player after doing the quest and progressing the oath one oath is starkindred that you can get kinda mid game at around power 10 usually but if u have 40 strength and 1 player grip u can get the oath immediately and i suggest to try and stick to one weapon type and not switch mid game and try not to put stats into random areas as they matter a lot if you get your attunement to lvl 80 then you can max your mantra levels to 5 which increases dmg and how well modifiers work on them theres a lot to the game but gl also try and get parrying down by practicing and even 1v1 shelly to try and get better

I just watched the other pov yesterday lmao, I left a comment with a few tips on Shelly's video, if you haven't seen it a quick tip I think is the most important in combat early game is to react, don't try to predict npc or monsters, react to them
