That sequence of only ambient sound starting around 7:35 is fantastic! The elements of wind, birds chirping, his hands and feet against the rock, and clipping in to finish the route: they're just so brilliant and raw. Climb on!
They're called Wild Country RopeMan ascenders. Basically a pulley with a little cam in it that pinches down on the rope when you weight it. Funny to see him using non-petzl equipment to equip routes, but it makes sense, it's such a specialized piece of equipment. A similar thing you could use would be a Yates adjustable daisy chain.
What's that small black ascender device connected to the other end of his hook? I'd always wondered how a route was bolted, pretty cool to finally see some footage of a hard route being put up.
Even climber are strong and talented enough to climb a route of this difficulty, some of the moves look like they would be incredibly complicated to figure out.
Every other version of No More Fighting (first song) I've come across seems to be missing an instrument. Anyone know where I can find this exact version?
could someone correct me, if this is the ratstaman vibrations? im new here and trying to search for the video of chris that alex megos was referring to
Я в востоорге и переполнен хорошей завистью к ребята, не зря поживающим жизнь, красиво, увлечённо и с любовью к преодолению, труду, верности. дружбе и риску.
Do you know much about climbing? Not trying to insult, just asking. Its just a typical sport climbing system, is this case a ground-up project. Sometimes people rap from above. He is being belayed by his girlfriend as Rachel responded and using hooks to essentially aid his way up the climb and provide stability to drill and set the bolt. The anchor is probably two bolts and there are a variety of set-ups. Chains or other options for lowering. Bolts probably 3/8" or 1/2" or metric equiv stainless
This moment at the end, when music stoped, only wind and sky and rock - perfect frame, i almost felt it like i was there. Music gives motto and pumps, but it also ruins video.
As much as I love Sharma and support what he does. We REALLY do not need videos of anyone bolting climbs. It's just going to inspire a new wave of idiots that are going to go out and bolt shit that doesn't need to be bolted.
***** and everybody else, we allow any point of view in the comments, but please don't use any insults and be fair, or the comments will be deleted straight away. Thank you for you comprehension. Best regards
And it indeed continued, after 7 years Seb and Charles are trying this masterpiece
is this "rastaman vibrations" proyect?
@@matiasrohmer2150 yes
I am surprised that no one else tried this one again
@@ck4u04 Amazing that Alex just did it..
And after 10 years, finally the first ascent. Awesome line!
one of the most inspiring people I've seen. Dedication, calmness and an amazing and beautiful spirit... like it very much.
Watching Chris switch between tenuous, steep hooking and climbing 5.15 in his approach shoes is wild.
This movie has such a chill vibe to it.

Chris Sharma aka one of a kind....#thegoat #lessonsinhumility 🤘🏽
climbing is a big experience. To watch Sharma is even bigger. :D
It's a good day for climbers when they find a new Sharma video in their newsfeed :)
For ever 'the king'
Master class as always Chris!
I'm so happy that there is such a thing as climbing.

for me, those holds would be a tough climb on a vertical route. But its like 40° overhang :O

Its a small ascender/capture pully like a kong duck or climb tech rollNlock.
Even climber are strong and talented enough to climb a route of this difficulty, some of the moves look like they would be incredibly complicated to figure out.
Finally completed!!
When Chris Sharma says something is extra hard it's probably really fucking hard
Looks like such a fun climb!
He is so fucking good, and so modest. That is what makes him the best sport climber in the world.
7:00 joint. not even a little surprised. haha
Or just a rolled cigarette...
Every other version of No More Fighting (first song) I've come across seems to be missing an instrument. Anyone know where I can find this exact version?
really awesome place to climb.
could someone correct me, if this is the ratstaman vibrations? im new here and trying to search for the video of chris that alex megos was referring to
Yes it's Ratstaman Vibration !

What is Chris using to tend his slack from his hook/anchor setup? Is that a mini traxion?

It's always such a pleasure to watch theese. Is that a new helmet I see on Chris?

Seriously what an artist. Climbing with hooks and approach shoes as he bolts the route....
Are you trying to be ironic? How would you do that?

What grade is that climb?
Proposed French 10 b

I know this is probably a bad thing, but I feel pretty inspired that even sharma pulls on draws occasionally 8:14
Does he paid to bolt the routes?

Derfoklishe
Old fashioned ideals, you mean respecting the local ethic of the areas you climb at and being a responsible steward of that area?
+tripmind i think the more videos the more knowledge.. better placed bolts.. if you have a problem with people putting up routes try trad climbing :P
+tripmind ..To bolt or not to be.
Such a crap comment!
Good video. Checking out a new route can be more interesting to watch than the send.
La Dura
it must be rough when two climbers as strong as they are have some sexytimes
I watch Chris Sharma videos on mute.
