1 Word, Goosebumps! (And I listen to the original at least 1 time every 10 days on average.)
Merci beaucoup ❤
Pure dope
Nothing beats Electro Beats of the 80s using those 808's beat Mechines that the Egyptian Lover used.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaassss!!!!!
i would love a tutorial how you created all the sounds. i would pay for it if it was exclusive content. you really nailed the nice lead at 07:06 for example, amazing. i wonder how it's done..
Thanks for watching my video. I created all the sounds from scratch using basic subtractive synthesis techniques. There are a ton of videos on TH-cam to get you started. Have fun!
Epic!!

Excellent job/mix
Hi 2 years later, i found this Pearl.... This was one of my first vinyls... Perfect Reproduction with great 808 Drums and nice Bass redesigned. Funny voice recreation. I used a Stem of the Original in my Minimix....Cheers... Jam on it!
I appreciate the kind words, my friend. I'm really glad we discovered each other on TH-cam. Sometimes they get the algorithm right. 😀
@@chisel316 right👍 my vocoder is microkorg but not as good as VP-03...

This is incredible.

@@chisel316 what's the sequencer under the TR09? Also is that what's playing the Model D bassline?
@@avace917 It's a Social Entropy Engine. Yes, it's playing the Model D bassline. Peace \/
@@chisel316 I forgot to tell you that I played most of this over for a hip hop record literally called Jam On It by Cardan featuring Jermaine Dupri. I played everything on it except the drums and bass

very good show
Thanks, Josue!
I love these sounds, amazing video! Can you tell me how you created the chord coming in at 5:38 ? is it the CS ? Thanks in advance. Amazing work. I'm just starting to finish my own pieces and I love this oldschool electro!
Thanks, CGI! I'm glad you like it. That synth pad sound is the CS. You can reproduce it with any polyphonic synth with a saw wave going through a low pass filter to filter out the high end. Peace \/
@@chisel316 thank you for the quick response! I'll try!
😍
All the boutiques.
Almost 😊
Nice work, bro. Extremely close to the original. Wikki wikki wikki wikki. 😊
Fun! Very well done.
Don't be too shy to turn the volume / compression up somewhat.
Thanks! I noticed after recording the video that I had the input gain in the master channel too low, but I didn't want to do it all over again (I record these videos with audio in one take) so I posted it as is.
Please transcribe Destination Earth (1999) by Newcleus. It is on the same album as Jam On It.
Thanks for the request! Peace \/
Once again you're right on point. At 1:32 seconds was that arpeggiated sound created with the TB 03? If so, what are the settings please?
Thanks again. When I found out that the original sound was made using a 303, I set a goal to recreate it. I basically reverse engineered it by listening to the original over and over. I even chopped the original into sections to isolate each step. It was pretty tedious work, but it payed off. It's probably not 100% accurate, but it sounds close enough to my ears. I don't know if I still have the pattern. I'll have to check. Peace \/.
What was that pattern again
is there an exact name or sound for the high hats/cymbals that come in at about 5:36 ??
That's the famous 808 cowbell. 😀
what is the digital sound being made from 1:33 through 2:05?
Thanks for checking out my video, healthyamerican. That sequence is coming from the Roland Boutique SH-01A.
what kind of vocoder do u use?
I typically use the Roland Boutique VP-03, but in this song I'm using an iOS app to change the pitch of my voice. I made a playlist of all my electro and hip hop cover songs for you to checkout. I hope you enjoy it.

Hi chisel316... I see you got behringer model d & SE-02...i am thinking of get one of these too, which you recommend first?
Good question. While the SE-02 has more features, I find myself using the Model D on every song. It's definitely built better than the SE-02. The knobs are bigger and the switches are more sturdy. Of course, it has no memory. That's never been an issue for me, but I know most people like to save and recall their patches. The SE-02 has a ton of patches and sequences built in. It also has a more feature rich synth engine. You can't go wrong with either one! 😀
@@chisel316 hi thank you, for detailled answer, i will check out both, music stores are open again, cheers and have a nice day. I checked out your vocoder songs"freak a zoid ect" really cool. I have many of old vinyls from this time.
What synths did you use?

Standard MIDI or USB? I have the TR-08, and the TB-03. Using USB and they are noisy! Currently powering them from portable charger, trying to reduce hummmmm... and want to use standard MIDI while transmitting and receiving envelope changes etc to/from Ableton Live...
Would appreciate your feedback
Standard MIDI. I use USB for power. Get this to cut the noise: Mpow Ground Loop Noise Isolator... www.amazon.com/dp/B019393MV2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
That top synth below the mic sounds dead on accurate the one they used.
Thanks for watching, Troy! I program all my own sounds from scratch so I can get the synths to sound as close to the original as possible. Here's a weekend playlist for you. Hope you enjoy it. Peace \/

Hey chisel, no uploads from you in a while ... Missing your remakes dude! hope you're keeping well through these crazy times!? Can I ask what synth makes the lead line @ 1.08?
Yeah, it's been quite hectic around here lately. I plan to get back into it real soon! That lead line is the Roland Boutique JX--03.
chisel316 look forward to the new material.
Hey, chisel, what's the name of this again?
Lol.. You know I planned to do that part verbatim, but it was stressing me out juggling the vocals, pattern switching of synths and drums and playing the live parts that I opted for creative freedom instead. Music should always be fun! Thanks for watching. Oh, and the answer is: Jam On It 😉
What type of microphones are using Dope
Thanks for watching! In this video I'm using a Shure SM-57.
The reason why i asked because i am a up and coming Talkboxer and i been trying to find that sound are patched into a tascam 8 track?
@@pausetapest.v8302 Cool! The pitch shifter I'm using on my voice is from an iOS app (check description).
How you like your toast?
Lol..Thanks for watching, Robert.
btw, are you taking request?
Sure! I can't guarantee anything, but I'm always open to requests. In fact, my last 808 classic - Paul Hardcastle's Rainforest was a request.
@@chisel316 i think its pretty clear looking through your channel we like some of the same stuff. how about you doing a cover of

Good job on the…..jam…..but maybe help with lower base voice…..ad a singer maybe….I don’t know…but try?
Thanks for the feedback! Peace \/
I mean, what are you actually doing? Lots of fingers holding down pads. I’ll bet you are very skilled . But too many knobs . Right? Less is more.
Thanks for watching, Iota. This song definitely doesn't show off my musical skills. 😀 I would normally agree that less is more, but the workflow I have with using one dedicated synth per track is far superior to the workflow I had with multi tracking a single synth. Of course, everyone is different. I just get things done much faster with dedicated synths. No menu diving. No recalling of patches. Oh, you can never have too many knobs! 😉 Peace \/
