This weekend was extremely extremely rough for me. Went from purple to black almost in a day. Shit hurt my feelings. RANDOM rec is tough man. I think I'm going to chill for a while.
Happens all the time to me. Unfortunately for me, all I do is play Random Rec. I got no friends to play with and then when a friend is on, it's usually just a quick couple games and I'm off. I play PG on all my builds to make sure I'm the one who makes the plays. But mostly, I play lock and catch and shoot playmaker. No one in Random Rec can defend and no one passes unless you pass first. That's what happens every game. I'm the only willing passer and only willing defender. I don't concern myself with anything else.

It's like the corner is kryptonite the way these randoms avoid it! You'll have three people on one side and none on the other. Always running around and trying to dunk or layup the ball on two people in the paint. It's why i made a pure sharp.

As a SF lock playing random rec I can't afford to fill in the corner on offense most of the time bc if I'm not first back on D my teammates will give up easy fast break points EVERY TIME. So I set pick n rolls near the top of the perimeter.
I had this exact convo you’re talking about last night about “how I lost the game” when I had 30 points and my defender at 2 and we still shot under 50% when I was 12/15 lol. Multiple people thought it was my loss lol.
How many blown possessions did you cause to find those 12 shots? That's alot of attempts. Sounds like you were only concerned with your scoring and didn't pass the ball much. Just saying.

Yep. 100%.. And equally as bad are the people that want to try and get an open shot everytime they touch the ball. People with 12-15 attempts in a game are horrible teammates. Even if they were efficient. That is alot of attempts. How many times did they blow the shot clock trying to get their Jamal Murray behind the back spam shot off? I like to see even distribution of attempts across the team. This is when you know you're playing team ball. Not impressed with this dudes play. He's complaining about how people are playing when he is actually a selfish player.

pov any rec when u dont have at least 4😭 genuinely the spacing might be the most tragic thing oat, everyone thinks they should be involved in the play n it makes it literally impossible to create offense
My favorite line from rec randoms I have more POINTS then than I say u shoot 20 times I shot 4 times and I’m only a singular point behind they proceed to say still more points I love the delusion
However there are sometimes I will mention that I scored more if it’s a situation where I scored more and missed less than they did.
Bro that's why when I play random Rec, I play 92 and under.. they still sell but no one's build is maxed so they know they can't do certain things and will be more likely to pass it lol in high random rec, everyone thinks they're mj or LeBron SMH it's horrible.. I got 4 players to purple in low random rec because once they see I can score they look for me

Random rec is wild. I have a 70% 3 point and 70 something % FG and still have a record that’s around 5-15
I’ve played more than that but that’s an example. Also, I average 20 points and 6 assists so I’m not just taking wide open shots. I’m taking shots to try to win. And my opponent isn’t blowing me out in points, I’d say they average 10

Here's a secret about basketball that you might not know.....
If you have more than one person on you, someone else is open. This is basic math.
Here's another secret.....
If you're open and someone passes you the ball, then you're closed out on immediately, your first look should be the person that passed you the ball.
Here's another secret and probably the most important secret ....
If you pass the ball around as a team each possession, and only shoot when you're open, there will ALWAYS be a man open at some point each possession. Especially in random rec. This will equal to an even distribution of the ball. Everyone will get points and you win. If you go into a game feeling like you need to get X number of attempts, you're really not a team player. I have games where i might only score 5 points, but I'll have double digit assist. I do not shoot contested shots. Ever. It hurts the team to take contested shots so I do not do it. I understand that the reason I may not be open much is because I'm playing good defense on my matchup and hes matching my energy. Or I've made him quit due to my defense and have an AI on me which we all know is hard to get an open look againts. No matter to me. I just pass the ball. Most people don't want to sacrifice their points to win This is the sad reality. Its like they think they're going to win an NBA scoring title or something. The only thing you can win on random rec is the game. This is the most important thing in random rec. Not your points, not how cool you think you look doing Jamal Murray behind the back spams and throwing up logo shots, but winning the game.
Problem is with nba2k u all think ur probs it's not hard to play team basketball it's not rocket science I play loads of games that are online and need team work nba is the only game where u alm hog and dont play as a team ramdom dont mean their rubbish half the time u make ramdom look rubbish by thinking ur the best because u score points basketball is not all about points it makes me f laugh
Passing usually the the open man in a better position usually means u win its called playing as a team .. nba u all stat pack for what to look good on a game that cant do in real life that's why u all take it so seriously and trash talk for the hell of it and the trash talk on nba is the worst the same men saying the same thing ir screaming down a headset 😂😂
I play career mostly I payed rec I bet I play better than most because I dont hog I play as a team and I know the basics about basketball and team sport in general

I was guarding my matchup who could shoot and they yelled at me to guard the paint. then my man started scoring and they told me to guard him like bro what. they are so unreal it's crazy

Hey i got a challenge for you. You should go to rec and try out every replica build(can be at 90 ovr) or you and squad can only use a replica build(only once in every position) in pro am or squad/random rec. Like if you want the sf position you can only use the sf replica builds. Would be entertaining to see you play them or see if they can actually be good enough for rec use. Cant modify the builds at all. Don't have to show full gameplay but at least highlights from each build.

I can handle my randoms beings brain dead doing stupid stuff the thing that annoys me the most is if you ever start popping off they for whatever reason take offense that your scoring and they're not so they start to sell or refuse to pass to you. And then go into gc and say I'm trash 😂 calling timeouts on me when I'm wide in corner boutta green. The randoms this year are at an absolute low
