There are some seriously mentally ill and spiritually weak people out there...the exorcism ex lesbian girl is obviously in a sect as insane as Q-anon....most people go to church as their only means of a social life and then stay plugged into TV throughout the week...I have some of the most hateful, cruel, mean spirited, vile back-stabbing, evil people that attend church multiple times a week and believe they are holier than thou...and the same goes for other religions as well!!!

Actually, the church needs stricter rules and boundaries. They still have more power and freedom than they should, such as priests often being exempt from the law when it comes to abuse. Also taxes.

No it doesn't. When it's talking about slavery it's usually prisoners or someone in debt to someone else. Even if that is the case, God made sure to state that who ever has a slave shouldn't abuse them and just let them pay their debts. Another mention of slavery was with Egypt but God wanted them to be free, that's why he had Moses over there.

but just to clarify, it also says that condemning people for their sin and actions is also a greater sin, so these “Christians” going out and telling gay people that they’re going to hell, are digging a deeper hole for themselves than saving anyone from sin. so yes, these people do twist the words of the Bible around, but don’t think the Bible says nothing about homosexuality when it has multiple passages that mention it some way…

The thing is that when you fall in love with someone you can’t control that feeling! If you fall in love with the same gender then you fell in love with them! If you fall in love with the opposite gender then you fell in love with them! There is no difference (well except the gender) but love is love. You follow what YOUR heart tells you! It’s not a thought it’s a feeling, do what you do and not what others tell you to do!
I think what's funny about the demon example is that even that explanation doesn't explicitly explain why homosexuality is wrong lol. Like presumably demons want to make us do certain acts that are already considered sinful, so whether or not the demon is making you do it has nothing to do with why it's apparently harmful to your own spirit even if it doesn't harm anyone else's. It's kind of an irrelevant point. I also think it's telling with the specific brand of homophobia that amounts to "you just want to feel pleasure". Like in their worldview the default assumption seems to be that being gay is more pleasurable and so it's men who can't control their own desire for more pleasure that are gay.
