Ramming the giant scorpion robots is the easiest way to kill them too. There's even a chance for a random encounter with a golden scorpion bot. These are not the type you see roaming in the open world, but a triggered like the other random map encounters in the video. Not sure the difference is between normal and golden, other than when prompted you can just choose to fight it or not, w/out any skill check needed.
It's so unbalanced.. You can even run over the giant scorpitron and 1 shot lol... The amount of damage your tank takes when ramming things needs to be adjusted so you can't just plow down an entire army.
Do you know the frequency of the ambushes? After I get ambushed, I can drive around for another 20 - 40 minutes before another ambush. Just doesn't seem like a fairly quick way to get xp. Is there a way or a trick to get ambushed far more often? Thanks for ur time
Not sure if theyve changed things when I previously started up they were much more common at the start of the game and the more area I covered cant remember if saving after fights and reloading helped but may be worth a try

Another thing to note is after you clear out the Skyfishers in Denver you can go back into they're camps and they will be filled with mutants. About 50-80 of them. If you can deal with that then you can get a lot of xp from that. Not sure if it also requires the killing of the Reagan cult or not. But I had killed them too before coming back to find this.
Might have found a bug or maybe it was attended to be, but at the bottom left of the map where the domes are. You can continuously fight the giant robot scorpion and get lots of loot if u pass the checks.
Try going to Denver, killing the 3 godfisher camps for the gippers & helping them defending the assault. After turning in that quest to the lady by the statue, leave Denver & go back in. Next head to the godfisher camp to the immediate right of your kodiak. Should be a ton of drools for you to kill for exp.
@@sofasupastargaming the drool horde is high risk high reward; not only because it's tough, but because it's known to crash the game when you get down to 3 - 7 left. There's about 90 total in the horde. 5 - 6 are the blue ones that buff the others, about 15 are the green gas bombers, & the rest are the standard red ones.
@@grombrindal567 I use 1 automatic rifle/ explosive hybrid, 3 standard automatic rifles, 1 LMG/flamethrower hybrid, 1 sniper. The horde gets shredded easily, the game just likes to crash at the end of the fight if all of the horde gets aggro'd at once. The trick is to try aggro small chunks & hope it doesn't pull all of the horde.

I have been driving all over this damn radiation infested section, and not had any random encounters show up. Do I need a DLC or something for this to work?
The random encounters are the only real grinding situations to be honest I would say you may be under geared more than anything I have another guide on my channel that helps get a lil geared up plus scrap to sell that may help a lil other than that remember that pre emptive attacks are always the best dont let them hit u first also use your truck it does a lot of the work for you as long as you can bunch things together you can run things over easily at low levels...also if your at the stage where you have the ranger hq dont forget to create something like a sniper or a mechanic that can lay turrets if you can get them from where you are they both help massively finally if a character has survival skill six you can escape most encounters and maybe look for some strong weapons from the neon light vendors as you roam the world in your truck.....phew that was a lot of writing hope some helps :)

your characters actually auto evade when the tank drives through their square, so could use those AP for some shooting
There were bugs when the game first came out a think a few times things were happening unintentionally👍

Auto shotguns and confined spaces are your best friends in this scenario. I had lucia wesson chew through the main horde in about 2 attacks.

The load time is horrendous on Xbox One. I'll stick with survival. Is there a level capacity?

I just passed Garden of the Gods, all rangers level 4 and now I’m outclassed by all enemies. Is there anywhere earlier to level grind a bit safely?

Complete all the missions in Colorado Springs before you head out and you should be ready to take on the Gippers and Godfishers in Denver.
