    e sucesso!!!

Tough questions, have never used it live and dont know much about midi things, its basically a home instrument so it doesnt take much beating on the road. Yes you can mute any of the 6 channels (but its a crude "mixer" mind you!). No, I doubt that you can mute the keyboard while playbacking the sequencer. Its isnt overly polyphonic, so if you use all channels (or much chords) you are likely to get cut-offs when capacity hits the roof.

thanx! it's one of the rather few pinks that are quite easy to do.

@nspade13 Of course it has input for sustain pedal. 3800 has a built in sequencer so you can record up to 6 tracks of midi sound from whatever of the many voices the device comes with. However the user interface sucks badly, so if you want to do
multichannel recordings, I recommend you rather use freeware audacity to do the recordings on your desktop instead. This requires a line input on your computer.

Great work! I have a few covers done in WK 3800 too.

This is a nice cover. I don't really like the dual acoustic guitar noise, but it sounds nice. I'm looking into buying a WK-3800 and this video practically just made the sale.

@SotR59 I think the slide-git was quite ok, to be done on the pitch wheel, too bad I just sold the board for tip money.

I dont have time to explain multi channel recording in detail, you'll have to consult your user manual. Its pretty straight forward once you get the hang of it. Tho the recording unit & mixer is very rudimentary so if you have a pc/mac with a audio line input, I believe a much better option is to download audacity and do the multichannel stuff with that. With audacity you can do about anything conceivable. Check out my "where you think you're going" "vid" which was done with audacity.

@SotR59 It was impossible to do a full octave slide with the wheel with good sound, so I couldnt do that part properly. Ive also used the internal rhytms, but mostly played them manually, for more control. See my Love) story and Where do you think youre going for examples of that). The sequencer was never much good, e.g very high risk of uninentional erasure of track 1. Today I use audacity and also just bought a reaper licence, to be able to use proper asio drivers for low latency.

Sorry I dont remember much about the process, but it's like a multitrack tape recorder. You do one overdub at a time with the others as background. In a professional setting you would start with the rythm and build from there. As a noob renegade, you can do it anyway you like. But the sequencer is a pain in the ass to control. Today I would use Reaper or similar as sequencer.

it has good connections: usb, sd, headphones, line out.

Yes, Im rather pleased with it for a newbie on keyboard, acc guitar is my proper instrument.

yes of course, built in sequencer, 6 channels, and a simple mixer for panning and volume, but user interface is not the best. Youre probably better off doing the recording on a pc using freeware such as audacity allowing as many channels as you like.

I use Cubase with an audio interface, so I should be okay.

    what equipment do you got?

its a question of price, cant get a yamaha for the same price with the same functionality.

@jonasjar yes, but also in copare with yamaha it has really bad sounds.
You can hear the piano voice in this video - and it's not even close to piano !!! Take the Yamaha forget those Casio function and go for a much better quality sounds, and much better keyboard, and speakers, and other things. I've got both brands, Casio and Yamaha, but these days I'm selling that Casio 'cause I can't listen to those terrible sounds any more.

well this was nothing serious and badly rehearsed. If you can stretch your budget a bit I suggest you take a look at yamaha dgx 530 (maybe called ypg xxx in the US) which has better piano sound better drum sound and more capabilities. The built-in seqencer/recording unit of the wk is not very user friendly, so if you have a pc/mac with a line input, recording there with eg audacity is a much better option.
