葉天士跌倒應該只是一個段落，但看著魏姐愣住應該是因為魏姐之前說過小時候誤食琵琶新葉而中毒，被一個名醫救下

I saw this series several years ago and was impressed by it then, but this refreshes my memory of how good it was. I'll have to watch it again. For those who haven't seen it, it has one of the best ending scenes in c-drama.
In the later part of the series, Noble Lady Yu really paid back her debt to YingLuo even gambling her life and not being able to see her son ever again just to make sure to make those who wronged her fall and for her son to live safely with someone who she knows will take care of her son. Noble Lady Yu really developed as a character 😭💗

I think it was more about avenging the Empress who was her best friend, and she new Yin Lo would protect her son with her life, she disn't trust any one else to do it, and finally a thank you to her for saving her son as a baby.

Even then Consort Chun was already dangerous and had no qualms about hurting an innocent child. She realizes that Yingluo is a the better person, more moral but also highly intelligent. I think this is when she started hating her.
This also showed how poor the writing was, IMO. It wasn't Yingluo being smart, it was the writing making the Emperor too stupid to pick up the falsehoods.
@@savannahshane2231 later on the emperor tell Consort Gao that he knew she had been framed. It probably was convenient at the time to punish her. Her family was very powerful, maybe the emperor wanted to take them down a notch.

Just like how later he knows that Consort Shun is suspicious as hell but goes along with her because he was using her to make Yingluo jealous and also find out once and for all if she would choose Fuheng over him. Also, he knew 100% that Noble Consort Gao wanted the Fifth Prince to die. That's HIS kid, an imperial heir. But if she just coats her intentions with "Oh, I was so concerned for the reputation and well-being of the nation and imperial family!" there isn't anything he can do-- without evidence to prove her guilt, that is. Consort Chun and Ying Luo just handed that to him on a silver platter. Have you ever heard the saying "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth?" He's the emperor, so he can't do anything without justification or he'll be called a tyrant, but his word is final. If he says Gao is guilty and he has evidence to support that claim, then she's guilty, and he can deal with her as he wants.

What is the name of the drama
Yingluo always outsmarted everyone which is why I never understood her tipping her hand to Consort Chun the ways she did, it never made sense to me that she would let her know she was on to her I think it was the biggest mistake she ever made.
I think consort Chun falsely suspected Yingluo for trying to poison Fuheng tea. She (Chun) went overboard to search for the empty packet from Yingluo’s room. I’m not sure this event was before of after lady Yu’s gave birth though. Please correct me.
Yingluo couldn't know that Chun would become an enemy of the Empress or that she was in love with Fuheng. But she realized that there were forces of evil in the harem and that Chun was part of it. Yingluo saved the prince's life honorably. She didn't kill a chef or invent suicide notes. She was frank and risked her own life instead of being sneaky like Chun. Chun showed that she could kill a baby without guilt. This scene shows the difference between them and why they'd become bitter rivals.
@@madelainepetrin1430 Yes, Yingluo was quite forthright, but she also knew how to play her cards close to the vest because of the hard lessons she learned early on about the nature of the forbidden city. She also had an uncanny and unerring understanding of her antagonists and human nature and was a master of the long game; she plotted out every move she made, at times three and for steps ahead of her adversary without them ever realizing it till the end. That is why I still say this was totally out of character and made no sense and it still doesn't irrespective of how honorable or not her actions were.
@lucretciaseven4873 you remember when she accused the Dowager Yu of killing her sister? She told her directly. She hadn't planned to kill her then bc she wasn't 100% sure of it. She risked her life when she killed her. Yingluo could be quite reckless, the same thing when she stabbed Fuheng. She is calculating when needed, but she's also passionate and impulsive. Also when the emperor ordered her to kill herself after the empress's death. She was going to do it in the most horrible way, too.
@@madelainepetrin1430 I remember, but as it turned out her accusation was done with a purpose and yes she could be quite impulsive in the heat of a moment,; however Yingluo's basic nature was very deliberate and shrewd and not one that would readily expose thoughts and feeling to anyone, she exhibited those characteristics over and over throughout the story and it's what kept her alive and made her so effective.
I would have thought a golden eyed child would be auspicious but apparently not

That's Emperor Qianlong depicted in this drama. He's a grandson of Kangxi. Most of the characters in this drama are real historical persons but highly romanticized though.
