Very nice. Love the Floyd, Bowie, and Rodriguez. Did you read any of the article from the time that pretty much showed that the Sugar Man doc was basically BS. Apparently he made quite a bit of money from his music, and was touring with major acts through the 80s, he just blew the money. They also showed that he know that he he was popular is some locations and had done some shows, he again just blew the money. Doesn't take away from the music, butstill pretty interesting.
I was recently given a box of records that a friend of mine found at the curb waiting to be taken to the dump. Inside was a bunch of old rock and prog rock albums (Even an original Zeppelin HOTH Ludwig press) and some older prog rock bands from Canada I had never heard of. One of the bands is called Klaatu and they were a prog rock band in early 70's. Pretty awesome to listen to these older bands that existed back in the day!

You’re complicating it. In the record community, it means just a record you’ve really wanted and is hard to find. If you want to get technical, if you look it up in the dictionary, the first definition is that it’s the cup Jesus drank out of at the last supper, the second definition is “ A thing that is being earnestly pursued or sought after”

I have been looking for an original plantasia for way to long....

Omg, my heart skipped two beats as soon as I saw the Dave Miller! Of course his most famous track is the cover of Mr Guy Fawkes by the Irish band Eire Apparent who were produced by Hendrix: genius psychedeliath-cam.com/video/T-hdeJkdgSI/w-d-xo.html John Robinson on guitar who went on to play another Aussie rare band Blackfeather on their psych Mountains of Madness album.
Yeah I’m really loving the Dave Miller 🔥
...keep my hoarding under control.....bbbrrrwwwahahaha suuuure..
i have cold fact sa press and the best of RODRIGUEZ SA PRESS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED?
I was told many years ago...you want to find great records, open a record store. *#duh*
It’s true man!
Sixto Rodriguez had a hit with Sugar Man in Australia back in the "70s....he got plenty of radio play at the time...SUGARMAN doco is not the whole truth at all.
The Who Tommy
I have that spermull!
Funny but I’ve never been a progressive or psychedelic fan. I like Rush lol but Yes, ELP and so on, just didn’t do much for me growing up. But fan or not I’m huge music fan that knows a lot of acts and artists but you pull out bands and artists I’ve never heard of. Maybe my knowledge of metal and grunge equals the knowledge but dude you pull out shit I’ve never heard of. I tip my cap.
Thanks for watching!
You need to go hunting wallets...
isnt a "grail" one thing? The best of the best? how can their be 8, let alone 8 "Mega Grails". If thats the case i have about 350 grails in my collection of 350 records.
