Instantly sold my Cloudburst and have ordered the new Strymon Bigsky MX. Will be selling my old Bigsky as soon as the new MX arrives on my doorstep. The MX will pair nicely with my Eventide H90. I have tried many reverbs but still love the sound of Strymon reverbs!
Have had the BigSky forever and recently Cloudburst. This is way cool, but very similar...worth 700 bucks after taxes? Especially if you have a few verbs? Tough call. Sounds crazy good. Hit two chords (after turning on switch) = genius

Huh…my initial reaction is this price point might hurt them….kinda like eventide’s H2 has kinda made them invisible…strymon does need better ways to hook up midi….my major complaint.
Not sure what "better ways to hook up MIDI" there are? BigSky MX has no less than THREE different MIDI connection types, in traditional DIN MIDI, TRS MIDI and MIDI over USB-C. What is it that you feel is missing?
You mean that the RV500 allowed you to run two reverbs, I would think. It most certainly doesn't allow you to run 10 second stereo impulse responses or edit the IR, have Ensemble, Choir and Harmonic engines or have Strymon sound design in it, so that comparison is missing a bit of detail maybe? The RV500 is a fun unit, no doubt, but it is not the same thing as BigSky MX.
That Slowly Diving sound is the best thing I’ve ever heard 😮
It's a great example of the power of dual reverbs, that's for sure!
When I bought the BigSky, I though: That's it, it can't get any better than this.
Strymon has no boudaries.

can't wait for the Timeline MX
The 4:40 fusion lead for the "Allan Holdsworth with 8 short delays" sound was perfect. Nailed it!
Drowning that chorale is such a great idea!! Beautiful!!
Mag in Bloom........WOW
I love my Big Sky MX. Please let us have the presets after 49B soon guys :) much respect and best regards!
I can already tell I'm gonna default to Magneto as one of the 'verbs when making dual engine patches!
These presets are wonderful. Not part of the factory presets, so where can you get these please?
How can did you create the lead 80 sound with the Iridium??!
These presets are awesome. I just bout mine and 10 of these presets are not part of the factory presets, so where can you get these please?

I saw where there is a defect in the sound. Is this true?
Not sure what you would be referring to - most people we've heard from totally dig the way it sounds?
Makes me sad, imagining what Allan would have done..
He would have loved it!
Great machine except the "choir" stuff...

They are both amazing pedals!
