When you watch this video without sound, it's like watching some body working in a callcenter. She's so relaxed.
It's pretty freaking good, definitely a studio level performance. I'm wondering for recording do you go into a professional studio or record each your part at home and get it mixed ?
she does this stuff from home. All her Twitch streams are done from her home. Her twitch streams are free to watch but her Patreon allows for Patreon only sessions and some of her vocal recordings for her vids are done on Patreon only streams. Her Patreon memberships starts at $5.00 a month (which I am at). My work schedule doesnt allow for me to be there for her live streams but i check them out the next day. They are fun and, like i said her usual Tuesdays and Thursdays Twitch live streams are free to watch live chat, ask questions for her to answer or chat with the others who are watching is fun too. Great group of people who are silly and crazy. Both days start at 2pm VT (central time has been replaced by Vicky Time LMAO)
We work with Christian Donaldson for all our album recordings, but all my other work: covers, guest features and this performance as well are recorded in my basement 😁

Thank you! All backing vocals/choirs you hear are always done by me. We don't use VST choirs.
I perform some of the material off the first 3 albums live, but I don't see myself doing a recording of it.
@@vickypsarakis do you ever consider using extra backup/studio singers for the choral parts? You have a great range of course, but I imagine there are moments where having more voices in those arrangements would make it sound really huge and orchestral behind you and the band
@@rjr6912 Actually, no. The Agonist isn't really a symphonic band, so we don't want huge choirs and orchestral arrangements in our songs. This is a unique way to add a little bit of that element without it becoming overpowering and I feel like the result is very unique.

I was a fan of The Agonist back somewhere around ten years ago when they came to town with Kittie and some "boy bands" and gave up following the progress when Alyssa went (lost interest in her shortly after, she now sadly seems more choreography then person) This was my first trip back down this rabbit hole and Vicky, you blew me away completely with this. You are now one of my two favorite growlers of all time, the clarity and control you have on this is stunning, your sung lyrics and range just incredible. Please tour here again, somewhere within a ten hour drive lol Thank you again so incredibly much for this, I'm a fan for life (I'm old enough to be your mum so hurry and come back before I'm too old and deaf!) I'll shup now sorry!
