    I got one of these to help transfer my Dad and it's really helping a lot. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner.

      Hi. How much did you pay for a lift chair for your dad? Which website did you go to? I can't carry my dad from his bed to a sofa and I can't find one that cost under $350.00 😢

    Why does the patient have to be holding on? If someone only has one functioning arm can you still use this?

    Is there an option where you can stand the patient fully? Like for changing or standing for better circulation?

    • @BestcareLLC
      @BestcareLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both lifts can help a user to achieve a fully standing position.

    Is there a video that shows using the stand assist strap AND the buttocks strap at the same time on this model (SA 182)? Specifically, do both straps attach to the same hooks on the lift (the ones closest to the patient)?

    • @BestcareLLC
      @BestcareLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It appears the manual seems to be incorrect. The buttock strap is intended to attach as shown in the video. We will correct this on our end.

    How much arm strength is required for the patient to be able to use this?

    • @coolmatrix15
      @coolmatrix15 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would say it is more of range of motion of the shoulder, and grip strength to hold the handles. The machine lifts most of the weight, and there is less use of the arm.

    Can this be used for none weight bearing as well?

    • @keondrabaumgarten8792
      @keondrabaumgarten8792 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From my experience, we only use sit-to-stands on patients that are able to bear weight and help assist. The patient typically has upper and lower body strength to some degree. We use a hoyer for non-weight bearing patients.

    • @keondrabaumgarten8792
      @keondrabaumgarten8792 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@janetbrown6409 Correct, you would use a body sling that would hook up to a Hoyer lift :). The body sling is placed underneath a patient while they are lying in bed.

    What is the widest part of this lift, so I'll know whether it will fit through a narrow barlthroom doorway...

    • @BestcareLLC
      @BestcareLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The external width of this lift is 24.9". So a door wider than 25" will allow this lift to go through. However, we need to consider the turning radius of the lift that is equivalent to the diagonal length of the lift. With the lift overall width at 24.9" and the overall length at 33.5", the diagonal length of the lift is 41.5". See drawing at www.bestcarellc.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/SA182_228_Dims.png. Therefore, the corridor has to be at least 42" wide in order for the lift to turn.

    how well does this lift work with a sani-sling?

    • @BestcareLLC
      @BestcareLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Our sani-sling works perfectly with our SA182 and SA228 as well as our other available fullbody patient lifts. Our sani-sling is the only sling we have available that is made for use with both sit-to-stand lifts and patient lifts. Follow the link to learn more about this sling: www.bestcarellc.com/sani-sling/
