In the states, Apple cider isn't carbonated and generally not with alcohol. As the first comment suggested, you can add Bourbon or your choice of alcohol. I think we keep it the way we serve it here so children can also enjoy it. Hard apple cider (alcoholic) is made here in America as well, but I imagine it's most commonly consumed, in the way this lady presented here. All I can say is, you don't know what you're missing if you haven't had it this way. Isn't this recipe close to Wassil?
