I was born on christmas day 1956 and lived and grew up in Morecambe so i never really appreciated what a great place it was, money was tight but i had an agreement with my mum & dad that if i took a modest christmas /birthday present they would buy me a 6 week summer holiday season ticket into Morecambe baths, which they did till i left school.Such great memories.
Yeah, I moved to Morecambe in about 1968 and it was brilliant then. Loved the old swimming baths, the Broadway and the coffee bars. Thanks for your comment.
Thanks, lots of familiar stuff still here now. Wonder if the Clock Tower ever worked then, not worked properly now for decades, but due for a fix soon.
Thank you for your comment. Look forward to the clock tower working again. I’m sure I arranged to meet someone at the clock tower back in the early 1970s and it was working then?
Fabulous pictures...memories of earlier times....until we become memories ourselves...!!!!
Very true
What a wonderful place , it was.❤
I think so too!
I remember winning 'Mr Universe' in Morecambe Baths in the 60s lol.
Happy days
