Thank you for the in-depth review. I’ll just wait to get these once they go on serious clearance on Amazon or bbts. No way I’ll buy them at regular prices
I can´t believe this was done. On the one hand, the lack of quality control is there from the start. As you said, the figure went to so many stages before being produced and knowing that legs fall apart just like that would have been the reason to not release him as is. Even worse to not even provide a stand. Much more so still because of the price. Super 7 is an ADULT figure COLLECTORS company. They don´t make fast food toys where the quality doesn´t have to be there. They knew that, as an ADULT COLLECTORS people are picky with the quality, much more with a HUGE probblem like this and STILL they released it. This should NOT have been released. And if they did they should acknowledge the faults and take it on themselves: sell the figure not even for half the price, just $15 would be enough, AND provide a stand.
Yeah I agree, if you were to look at this thing on a shelf you'd think wow what a really good Devil Flanders figure, then you'd pick it up and be like what's going on here, why does he feel hollow, why are his legs not staying on, what happened here? thats the same reaction I had when I took this thing out of the package, great approach but terrible execution. Thanks for coming by and checking out the video.Have you been collecting any Super7 Ultimates?
Actually it is a trident. As in three prongs. Hence the name. He should have ha a bident. Two prong "pitchfork". In Greek mythology Zeus has a lighting bolt, Poseidon a trident and Hades (god of the Underworld) a bident.
The Super 7 guy they were talking to on Robo's new video said that Devil Flanders has something like a 20% defect rate and that anyone that has a defective one should contact them. I figure you probably already heard that, but just in case not I wanted to mention it because I know how bummed you are about having a defect in your Treehouse collection 😢
Those tolerances on the legs are terrible... And that change of plastic you mention in the torso section might be the culprit. It looks like they changed the moulds or the plastic used in them, that would've been toleranced differently, more than likely cause it was a cheaper option. This line REEKS of hard gouge pricing without delivering anything remotely defined as 'Ultimate'. It's a joke that Super 7 calls these lines Ultimates when they're barely functional at best. A really sloppy end to a very slopplily conceived lined. Maybe Disney pulled the licensing from them cause of the company's generally dire QC? It's not like a new problem either... For what you pay, you never get the value. They really think they can make their own hardcore user base of collectors that will pay extraordinary amounts of money for shoddy figures and keep coming back for more. Glad I'm done collecting their figures, aside from the odd ReAction these days and I pray they never get another exclusive license I can't resist.
I have the whole line and I definitely feel like Super7 skimped on quality control with this final wave. My Devil Flanders can at least stand without aid, barely, but the legs fall off with the slightest breeze. That very bendy plastic they used for the pitchfork is also an odd choice. Just a very disappointing figure. The sculpt is there, but there was just no quality control to speak of and I found swapping the heads to be just as frustrating. I can't recommend this figure at $55.
@@TheReviewSpot No, I’ve been casually observing the Super 7 stuff from a distance. Some of the stuff they put out looks amazing like Kang and Kodos or most of the TMNT line but every so often I see something like this or that Andre The Giant come along and it’s kept me from spending any money on em. I also just kinda find the whole “$20 ReAction” line to be really scummy. Blows my mind how they dropped the ball on the Simpsons license this bad. 5 waves in and 0 representation of the main characters in standard attire. 🤯
Thats what Super 7 does best, high prices on cheap crappie plastic. Is a shame that they do this. I quit the line over the same issues not worth the money. This should be a $10 figure at best, it looks and feel like a fisher price toy.
I was really surprised with the drop in plastic quality on this one, he feels different and is lighter considering the mold having more going on with it, really a big let down this was for me because I was really looking forward to having a decent Devil Flanders on the Shelf. Holy shit, the whole figure falls apart by simply trying to move it around.
