Keep doin you bro- love it. Have used so much of your advice as I’m just getting into salmon on Lake Michigan our of the IL/WI boarder. Big thanks and tight lines!
Good vid man like how descriptive you were, it would be cool if you talked about your setup more though, like your snap weights and how much line you were putting behind your boards
Featherhunters Thanks! I try to give information I wish I would’ve had when I was scouring TH-cam trying to first learn how to fish the Great Lakes, so I guess I always start with the basics first and don’t get into enough detail. I’ll dive into that the next time I film and try to talk more about my rigging.
Kris Hanus I use 2oz in 25 feet of water or less. 3 oz over That but I rarely fish over 25 feet of water. Thanks for the views and sorry I just saw this!
Honestly in May I start fishing post spawn fish so I just troll close structure to the mouths of rivers and spawning flats. I hear it’s good out there but I fish the closest port to home and the closest structure to the launch and usually limit on eaters. The bass islands are solid pre spawn. That’s where all the big girls hang out when the ice breaks.
I fish Erie for walleye but on the Canadian side and also Huron. I had a lot of luck with crawler harness but on dipsy divers and small spoons work really good. Then you don't have to worry about running out of bait. Lake Erie Walleye Candy are good spoons. But its good to see you limit out in a hour and a half thats fun fishing and this time of year the fish are in close in the shallow water so you had a good plan so keep up the good videos i love fishing and like seeing peoples different methods of fishing so videos for peeps like me and screw the haters
Stephen Banks thanks for the information man. I fish a ton of spoons on Lake Michigan, but I never fished them for walleyes. Not having to bring crawlers is a bonus. I’ve fished tadpoles and small body baits in the summer and have had luck also. There are just so many options, yet catching walleye in a fishery like ours honestly hasn’t been a really big challenge. Catching the really big ones has, but for eater walleyes it hasn’t been hard. We are lucky to have the lakes we have here. I’ve only been fishing walleyes for 4 years, and this is my first on Erie. I’ve caught 7 over 10 pounds, and have limited 6 times out of 8 times So far this year. I’m searching for that 15 pounder.
casey baker Thanks! I have a wide variety of them. I have a few different lengths so they are easier to space apart. Recently I’ve been buying Shakespeare’s wild series medium action combos in 7’6 and 9’0. They haven’t failed me yet. The 9’0 rods are great for the in-line boards with 10 pound mono, I use the 7’6 rods to run straight off the side usually with no boards. They are easier to adjust without boards and my hookup rate trolling zig zags over drop offs almost doubled. Great rods for the money!
Is it? I was almost for sure before April 30th it was 6 in Michigan, then after April 30th it went to 5. That’s what I understood. I hope I’m wrong! Hahaha
Love your videos.. actually fuck’n fantastic! Hope to shoot the shit a bit one day, bound to meet eventually.. I’m a bit further south on Lake Michigan usually, st. Jo, New Buffalo, Michigan city.. cheers!
Jeff McKinsey have you been fishing sag bay or Erie? Sag bay was good to me the only time I’ve made it up there. I honestly think that’s a better fishery than Erie. Less trash fish by far to sort through. It’s really tough up there when the water is super muddy though.
Steelhead Dream i never complain about catching fish! I’m sorry I come across that way to you. All I want is to share a real life scenario with how fishing on the Great Lakes can actually be. Thank you for the view either way. Tight lines #TheChosenLife
Ray's Boating hahaha I assure you there are a lot of people that do better than I do! Saginaw bay is one of my favorite places! I fish out of Linwood Beach Marina the most! I can’t wait for the open water! Tight lines and thanks for the view!
This is a guy that loves fishing. Helped me out when I needed it.
Keep doin you bro- love it. Have used so much of your advice as I’m just getting into salmon on Lake Michigan our of the IL/WI boarder. Big thanks and tight lines!

I love the totally unscripted nature of your videos. Also, I can't wait for s salmon video!

29 and a half inches
the walleye fishing on the Canadian side of Erie has been... off the hook
Paul Bowkunowicz I hear the bite is pretty crazy just about everywhere right now! I’m thinking about taking a trip this weekend! Tight lines!
Not a fan of those warrior lures. They are expensive and they don't last long at all. maybe 2 or 3 fish and they are tore up.
Cody B I’ve had the same issues with some of them. The custom DDHJ’s hold up better than the P10’s for me.
Good Job, thank Paul!
Paul Clift thanks a lot!
keep swearing Bud...thats real life...love your Vids
Paul Bowkunowicz thank you for watching! I appreciate the compliment!
Cheers Bud...
You know the limit in Lake Erie is 6 right? Really liked the video. Jealous!!
Is it? I was almost for sure before April 30th it was 6 in Michigan, then after April 30th it went to 5. That’s what I understood. I hope I’m wrong! Hahaha
If you call 888-367-7060 it tells you what the DNR has set the limit at. Says 6 until April 30th, 2019.
Juptak well hell yes! I thought it was for 2018. Thanks for the info!
Love your videos.. actually fuck’n fantastic! Hope to shoot the shit a bit one day, bound to meet eventually.. I’m a bit further south on Lake Michigan usually, st. Jo, New Buffalo, Michigan city.. cheers!
Dude got a trophy sized head on him. Hat is stretched the fuck out.
Good video Guy by himself . Keeping it real. I hate the scripted shows. He needs to be burning some weed and relaxing and catching some fish Nice
Tim Smith thanks a ton for the views!!! Thanks for keeping it real! Most people don’t! #TheChosenLife
I’m an hour and 20 min from Lake Erie you must be close

Jeff McKinsey have you been fishing sag bay or Erie? Sag bay was good to me the only time I’ve made it up there. I honestly think that’s a better fishery than Erie. Less trash fish by far to sort through. It’s really tough up there when the water is super muddy though.

8 pounds
Walrus Comentrys that’s a hell of a fish! Most people have no idea what an 8 pound walleye looks like!
