First thing, in response to the comment of not cutting up a classic. Did you miss the part about it being a basket case !? It could have been scrapped ! But instead, has a new life and is running on !
Nice kit, makes for a good looking and still functional bike. I wonder if the suspension gets much softer since the shocks are leaned forward so much compared to the stock ones. Note.: It wouldn't hurt to cover the carburetors ports on the motor before grinding metal around it. These guys might be planing on rebuilding the motor later so it would not mater if some grits get inside, but if you plan on running the engine after the kit install, cap those ports.
Any chance you guys will stop doing this to XS650s? Watching you cut up that frame and make it into a Captain America wannabe was painful to my soul. Why not use NEW Bonnevilles or Sportsters instead of a classic XS650???????????????
Go Takamine is Japanese. His first shop is in Tokyo. He later moved to LA to open a second one. Most of his classic Brat Style XS650s were built in Tokyo.
There is a million xs650s out there, most of them land in the crusher anyways. If it were a valuable collectible then the prices would be accordingly, but they are not.
