I had to take the General Lee to visit my uncle's grave today because ALL my trucks are getting maintenance or rolling. in 30 days bro comes 5 new Kenworth T680 2024 bringing me to a dozen. I still have 5 2020 and we have hired some CFI & U S Express drivers. We're nearly doubled our driver team. It's been all an up hill fight but, one I never gave up on. Small Metal grill top. Few rocks. Aluminum foil. Fresh Steaks. Charcoal & plate, slow cook it. And something small for water put Charcoal out keep getting forest fire going. Some great eating & add few baked taters with butter. Don’t get any better than that.
I stop at that same Loves to get my ACI manifest & complete a 10 before crossing back into Canada at Port Huron. There’s also another Loves on I-69 that I also visit if I’m going east from Chicago.

Why did you park next to the truck with the curtains up? He was trying to sleep and you're out there making all that noise when there's plenty of parking further away.
Curtains up doesn't always mean they are sleeping. Also most truckers learn to sleep though most anything if they want to or are tired enough. Why? Because reefer trailers exist and they can be very loud. Especially the older ones. I know I used to drive reefer trailers.

Automatics will not move when the air in the transmission is low. The dash will turn red or yellow depending on which cascadia u have telling u that the air in the trans is low.
That guy in the red truck park in the back by himself to get some peace and quiet and then you park right next to him🤷🏿♂️. I don’t understand trucking

Hey Alex, I've heard in Michigan the reason the roads are so bad is because the penalties for being overweight are a joke (minimal fines only), and that truckers and truck companies gladly pay the penalty so that they can carry heavier loads/send less trucks to do the same amount of work... is that true?
I did a road trip and it was 16-17 hours and the first way to destination I stopped at a hotel on the way, going back I didn’t I did it in one trip. I also realize I can’t sleep I literally drove on no sleep and was scared a bit because I tried to take sleeping pills that didn’t even work. I was hyper aware man I tell you. I left on the way back one trip because I felt I wasted money on a hotel to sleep the first way there but didn’t. I did the trip back on no sleep left at 3:30 in morning reached at destination at 8:20. I have only two years of driving experience and I did it. One thing I got out of the experience was truckers need to be paid more way more than what they are and they need there own lanes. Thanks to all the truckers that keep this country running. I also do my best not to cut them off and if I get in front of them I speed like bat out of hell and I never drive beside them. 😂 if it comes to who wining I will always be the loser. I love the idea of trucking to be able to go where ever and see across Canada and be by urself but at the same time meet new people and move on, but from experience from recent trip I wouldn’t be able to sleep so it’s a no for me. 😢 and I can’t do traffic. I cannot will not set in traffic for hours. That’s why I left early coming back beat the heavy traffics.

But also this ain't a perfect industry and, as an example, I run 6am to 6pm. And I've had loads that don't pick up until noon or drop off until super late. In those cases I just go about my day and stop whenever I'm getting relatively close to where my delivery is.
