    A quick question off topic I have a 55 pan rebuilding lower end and was thinking of purchasing a lathe to tru flywheels as there is no one near me able is this do able or should I find someone to true them up?

    i don't see a steel expansion strut inside the S&S pistons., is this not required for a forged piston versus a cast piston?

      forged and cast pistons are different. newer style pistons do not need the steel struts. sportsters are very much like a knucklehead and they use cast pistons without the steel struts. you just have to put them in looser. every application is different and they use what works best for their applications.

      Why are you trying to argue with this guy? He’s been a mechanic probably longer than you are of age and he can build anything fast or slow or the fastest. This guy should have over 1 million followers by now. He knows what the fuck he’s talking about I would trust him with any six of my Harleys.

      @@atrain882 chill out dude, I wasnt arguing by any means whatsoever. Btw way I have been in the Harley Davidson aftermarket business my entire 60 years of life. I thought the only dumb question was the one that wasn't asked and knowing Tatro for many years (he buys lots of parts from our family company) I thought I would ask a simple question. And he answered it very concisely.
