You are spot on when it comes to Manqoba changing the style of play and his explanation when it came to the champions League, he even called it our bread and butter. However, this change in style of play has only yielded 2 points in 2 games in the big fish, we can't continue like this and look for excuses when it's too late, I applaud the management for taking a swift decision and making a proper appointment in coach Cardoso. Like the chairman said, we are Bafana ba style for a reason, there is a reason why we wear the colours we wear, sacrificing the tradition of the club isn't it.
Thank you Veron for this video, at least you are not bias or showing some signs of being prejudicial towards coach Cardoso. I took time to watch our other Masandawana podcast but couldn’t finished it for obvious reasons.
Manqoba was appointed for the sake of continuity, but he completely changed Mamelodi Sundowns style of play of which supporters and management were not happy about. Firing him was just premature they should have given Manqoba to finish the season.
That's good because he was the guy who was supposed to replace rulani but we could not get him but now he is here we will do well wish him all the best he will bring the best out the players
I am also afraid what would happened to our team team because of this changings Thabiso n I know you always behind all couches of Sundowns I never hear you saying something bad about Couch Manqoba like other fan blog, I respect you for that Sandawana 👆👆
I see Veron’s excitement, I’m excited too given our loss to Esperence in the semifinals of the champions league. Since that semifinal loss to Esperence, I said to myself, if Sundowns’ Management is serious about taking this club to greater heights, it needed to bring in an experienced manager who has coached at a higher level than Rhulani or Manqoba etc. I felt it was high time we bring a proper coach and not this experimenting with abo Rhulani and the likes of Manqoba. Furthermore, it was clear that Rhulani was not going to take us anywhere same as Manqoba, for me they had reached their capabilities, with respect to them. Even if Pitso was still with us, I doubt he would have achieved more than what he achieved in 2016. The reason I supported Sundowns in 1998 from Iwisa Kaizer Chiefs, off course, 😂 was the vision I had for a team that could surpass the likes of Chiefs and Pirates, and Sundowns, for me, had that potential, and I never looked back since then. I am not a prophet, but I believe Mamelodi Sundowns will be better with coach Cardozo at the helm.
The biggest problem with Manqoba was his pride and stubbornness. There is a saying that says "If its not broken dont fix it"! The Mamelodi Sundowns team for last season was doing very well it didn't need fixing, the only Manqoba was supposed to do is 1. Work on taking set pieces 2. Work on defending against set pieces and areal balls 3. He was supposed to maintain last season's first choice XI and do his rotation system with the 5 subs. Manqoba came in and wanted to change everything and the work that had been already achieved before. All he started benching players like the likes of Zwane, Modiba, Mokoena, Modau, Kekana and Mvala. There was no continuity at all which distabilized the team, there was no cohesion and the intensity dropped with his wholesale rotations. How can a big club like Mamelodi Sundowns play over 10 matches and still not have a first choice starting XI? In the process of the wholesale rotations we were kicked out the MTN8 and Carling Black Label Cup. Manqoba was more of a boss than a coach and he was just giving us too many excuses for poor performances. Anyway In shot i understand and agree with the clubs decision to fire Manqoba and hire a new Coach.
I am not happy with this announcement but I will continue to support the club and protect the coach against external forces. The Sporting Director should take the blame if the new coach fail to deliver. I am hoping they are preparing him for CAF Champions League and Club World Cup.
We always allow ourselves to be led without reservation but pure hope that the leader will bring us Glory! Board and Sporting director will never share their KPi lol so we must make peace with that or we will ask for Berg to leave until cows come home lol. Thanks to coaches who departed for their contribution . Also confused about how Kennedy and Stevovo stayed but maybe cause of work permit they don’t want to make it obvious lol or maybe familiar with surroundings or a spy lol . We will conspire till forever lol. Hey I will defend you my friend nna , alongside Malome cause I know where your heart is when it comes to our Team!!
The badge first Grootman. I couldn't understand what's happening with our club in this new season, so many errata, question of "merit", question of "player slack" and so on I would take Kennedy but Steve I really don't know how did he survive the chop, definitely not related to technicalities of how the team should play. 😂😂 We are all together

This Flemingberg has got a European tendencies of never to believe in African coaches, fact is we have never did well with foreign coaches. Now that we going to club world no African coach must be seen coaching our clubs.

I thought that the chairman explained Flemming's role at the club when he was appointed and it didn't involve the appointment of coaches. Now due to the misinformation in the media Flemming was also prompted to explain his role to the media by way of a presentation, and he emphasised that the decision to fire the coach doesn't lie with him. I think it's very unfair from the media and commentators of the game to question Flemming when it comes to the firing and hiring of coaches when there have been several explanations about his role. Thabiso please respond to me in the next preview video, I don't want your response to get lost in the comments my brother lol AND YOU DONT INVITE ME AKERE 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that last line 😂😂😂😂😂. Flemming Berg has a HUGE say in the hiring and firing of the coaches, that is part of his job as a sporting director. Yes, he oversees a lot of things at the club, and that is also one of them. Askies for responding to the post here and not on the next preview 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Trust me my guy Flemming Berg has a big role in coaches hiring and firing. But that cannot happenned without consulting and convincing the board. Sporting directors role is to make sure there's improvement in performance of the team, and players he brings takes the team to next level. He is not there to be a receptionist no kid manager. The thing is as management it's proper to be a team player hance there's this fancy word "It's a collective decision". but truth be told it always start with one person and that person get the buy in of the rest.
@@mphoradebe1163 But how do we know for sure that he affected this current decision or the previous one? like 100% concrete evidence? not just assumption. Sorry I am an arrorney and I dont work on assumptions
@@tshepi_11 It's unfortunate that with our team one has to use common sense. How can we release Manqoba for a Cardoso who has never finished a season in all teams he coached. He has no championships. Cardoso plays defensive football. Its all over for Shoeshine piano. This guy is worse than Manqoba. Even Esperance hated his style of play. When this Cardoso gets fired in 4 months he must go with Flemming. But cardoso wont have it easy with the few but influencial Rhulani captured boys in the team
Miguel is going to change the style of Sundowns play.He is not better than Manqoba. He is not better at all. He has been fired at Esperance because of his style of play. He plays low block of which Sundowns is not used to that style. Our style is shoeshine and piano not high balls.
For some reason I believe Coach Rhulani will return to this club to restructure it after Berg's tenure as Director because he's dismantling it in a subtle manner and I don't actually see his contract being renewed when it comes to an end,if not mistaken he has 3 years of his contract remaining. In the meantime I will 100% support this chap
My first time here as sundawana im happy to be here

Good move the team was in decline now in terms of performance.
I hope the players are not going to subbotage the new coach. My advice to the team now is to sell Modau and Mokoena.
Absolutely.....they sabotaged Manqoba 😅

I will say it again, our team is slowly becoming Chippa United under the current leadership. But i will support whoever comes coach the team.
