      Power saving not tied to frequency you select... It is calculated on wasted load you put in that drive that being consumed on inlet dampers or not required load

    Hello sir,
    We are using siemens vfd at our reverse osmosis plants. We adjust the frequency of vfd to get particular pressure like 45hz, 40hz, 49hz max is 50hz.
    My question is what happen if we reduce the frequency is it reducing power consumption or not. If yes how can i calculate the payback.

      Ofcourse less work done is equal to less power consumption. But make sure water pressure requirement and other safety aspect of your system.
      Measure the output voltage and current and calculate power = 1.732 x o/p vol x o/p current x p.f

    Can we use VFD in gear hobbing machine main motor for power saving

      If motor is overrated and reduction in speed is not problem then you can use VFD.

      Thanks Sir.. इसमे और एक जानकारी चाहीये थी, ये मशीन मे मोटर के आगे गिअर बाॅक्स है , उसके बाद pully लगाके speed reduction किया है , अभी VFD lagane के बाद आपने जैसा कहा की, voltage proportional to Torque... Agar हम speed control करते है तो , Torque constant kaise milega , इस केस मे पॉवर saving कैसे होगा ... Please reply.... Thanks 🙏

      Motor will offer load till its rated full load current if load demands power...
      Load is always demanded.. motor dont deliver load own its own until asked by driven load.. and limited by FLC.
